Really, how? I've created lots of websites, most of them directed at social networking but none has gotten a mite as popular as facebook. Of course, people will say facebook is a site with global acclaim and all that but it was once a site nobody knew. Hi5 was once the "it" site but facebook is it now. Facebook's popularity has bludgeoned hi5 into near non-existence. Even myspace is struggling to stay afloat in this social networking tsunami caused by facebook.
So what makes it so popular? What makes it so.....?huh. Facebook is not the social networking site with the greatest or most complicated features. I've come across a site that allows you to create a 3d avatar that lives in a virtual world and can interact with other members avatars with tons of other stuff to do. Surely, this could be far better than facebook but this site is a grain of sand compared to facebook in terms of popularity. I can't even remember the site's name!
So what makes it so popular? I hope i get the answer before i finish my next site. If it can become half as popular as facebook, well......
