Stand strong..or surrender..!?

levende vann, the mighty river of God, living water from our hearts

have been in many different churches these past 10 years..and seen much stressfull things.
It is mostly about do this, or that..and stay strong !" in the Lord" - as thet say...but I could remove "in the Lord" and we are closer to the truth that is preached;.."stand strong!"
Have you ever been in a river that is flowing strong..and then tried to "stand strong".??
IF you have you know that is it almost impossible to keep your balance or stand upright at all. To stay strong and upright when the power of the river come against you..it takes ALL of your own strenght for sure..and in some few minuttes you will have lost your strenght, and forced to leave the river..or surrender to it..
God often uses pictures like the river to tell us some truths..



IGods spirit is often described as a wind, as water or as fire..
all of these ingredienses we do NEED to live. We need water, we need air, and we need heat( the sun)
I could have used any one of these ones to describe something to you about God, but today I will use the picture about water...a river of water.
In Isaiah 66 12 God says;
" behold I will extend PEACE to her like a river....
John 16.33
Jesus said;
" these things I have spoken to YOU, that in ME you may have PEACE!"

mark 1.5
" they went out to him( John the baptist) and were baptized by him i the RIVER..confessing their sins"

Peace like a river!!!...but do you know that a river is NOT still water?..it is floating on its underwater streams..some power is making it move forward..even if it is not visible on the surface always.
So there are 2 truths that I want you to see about the river, and the first one is about it being a picture of peace..
I am this PEACE Jesus said...in ME you find this peace..just like a river!!
John baptized people in a river..and when they confesed their sins there to God..they found PEACE with God in that river.
This is so true when we transfer this thought to JESUS..and picture HIM as the river..where we find PEACE with GOD!!.. IN JESUS we find peace!..just like those Jews found peace with God when they were baptized in that Jordan river. And you know when they got baptized they went all the way UNDERneath the water..they dissapeared so to speak ,from the surface of this earth..they went INTO the water..the river!
For me or you to find peace with God, we likewise enter into JESUS..confessing our sins to him and our faith in HIM..and by so doing are dissapearing from this world and we enter into another one..into that RIVER that JESUS is...HIM SELF!
Just like he was some water that we got immersed into...

When You get into that waterworld..there are streams underneat the surface..and sometimes they will be strong and kind of trow you of your feet..making you loose controll of what is happening.
This is the secong truth about the calm river...which also is true when you become part Of JESUS!
Joh said that Jesus would batize us with the Holy sprit..
Jesus also said so;
" and I will pray the Father, and He will give YOU another helper..that HE mighty abide with you forever!
-the spirit of truth!., whom the world cannot receive, because it neighter sees him nor knows him..but you KNOW him, for he dwells with you and will be with you..I will not leave you orphans, I will come to YOU!"
John 14.16-19
When We enter into JESUS..just like He was a river..then we dissaperar from This world..and enter Gods world..and therfore Jesus is saying here that the spirit of GOD is given to those that Knows God, those who have entered him, just like He was a river...and the natural world cannot receive this spirit.
Gods spirit is like underwater streams, that we cannot see on the surface of the still water, or in this natural world...but those who dive into the depths of the water will feel its streams and even get caught by them..
mark also that Jesus is saying that HE will come to those that are HIS,,,so in His spirit HE IS!..Gods spirit is NOT something outside of Jesus..but one with Him.
Jesus cried out;
" IF anyone is thirsty, let Him come to ME and drink!..
he who believes in ME, as the sqriptures has said; OUT of his HEART will flow rivers of living WATER!...
this he spoke to them conserning the SPIRIT, whom those who believed in HIM would recieve."
First as I have told you..we come to JESUS...just like HE was a river..we enter into HIM, WHO is OUR Peace with GOD..and JESUS becomes OUR peace with GOD..not a PEACE in me because I have done something right or done this or that..NO!, but JESUS becomes MY PEACE with God!...does it sound strange?
Confessing our sins ( of NOT believing in him ..and whatever we have on our hearts) connects us with GOD in Heaven through our faith in Jesus..and then JESUS himself becomes our PEACE..the reason we have peace in our hearts, day after day..no end to it.
I will give you peace , Jesus said...a peace that is greater than your understanding..thats why it is difficult to explain this..it surpasses our minds.
When We believe in JESUS..have entered Him , just like entering a river..then HE gives us HIS own spirit...
which is those underwater streams..that sweap you OF your feet..
HERE is that very difficult part..and where many believers enter into stress, and not rest..
You see, when you feel those streams from Gods spirit coming your way..treathening to sweap you OF your feet, treathening to make you loose your balanse, to take you into deeper water where you cannot touch ground anymore, and are helpless and panic stricken...
What do many believers do then?..yes they say; keep standing strong!!!..keep fasting, keep praying, keep doing good, keep giving money..and the more they feel treathened by those Holy spirit streams underneath their feet..the more they FIGHT to stand strong and tall..resisting the enemy..not knowing that they fight against God himself..and THAT is a hard thing, even The apostle Paul learned how hard it was to fight against Jesus!
What is the best thing to do then?..yes ! surrender!...when you surrender to Gods will, His leading of your life, His gentle push inside, His "this is ths way you are to walk on"..his voice inside your heart or how ever his river power is taking you..you surrender just like the eagle surender to the wind..letting the wind or the water take YOU where it wants, and NO longer do you fast or pray to stand strong ( in the lord) you let yourself go, and find PEACE..a deep rest for your soul..and the RIVER- JESUS himself becomes your peace!, not som enemy....
You do not die, or sink..when you in this way LOOSE Yourself..you FLOAT ..the river becomes like a bed of roses..just as it was for Jesus, he did not fight against it, he walked ON it in the midst of storms..like PEACE himself !

Jesus said that from your HEART will flow rivers of LIVING water...and THIS is the Holy spirit in you , flowing OUT again from YOU:.from your hearT!
so First Jesus gives you His spirt, which sweap you OF your feet WHEN you no longer stand strong, but have submitted to the river..and are letting the river of GOD take you wherever IT wants..THEN out of your HEART another river starts flowing..with LIVING water to thirsty people..words from The mouth of GOD!!..coming from your Heart, and NOT from your mind.
When you stand strong, resisting changes or whaterver the spirit desires in your life..then you can only give to others what you have in your mind..or the fear you have in your heart or the "stand strong and fight messages"
when you have surrendered to Gods spirit..His mighty river...then from your HEART you will have living water to give. A word from God to a needy person, a smile , a glass of water, a helping hand in so many ways..and it will all come from your heart..
In heaven there is a river too..
" and he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystals, proceeding from the Throne of God and of the Lamb" rev 22 1
This river I belive is the same river as JESUS talked about...you see in this text that this river comes forth from the throne of God and OF THE LAMB- JESUS.
The river comes from the HEART of God , of JESUS ( throne is also described as the heart)
and it flows out from him..and calls peopøle everywhere to ENTER into this river..which is coming from the Heart of God. When we do enter it..we enter the HEART of JESUS...and there we become one with HIS heart, and from OUR hearts that are one with Gods hearts- flows RIVERS of LIVING waters....
Do you see it?
Again; I enter into JESUS, by coming to him..just like entering a river.. His HEART enter into my heart, through His spirit,when I surrender to HIM..to the POWER OF THE RIVER... and from MY heart will HIS spirit flow through me to other people ..drawing more and more people to seek after Gods heart themselves...

Do not stand strong or tall..let the power of the river..of JESUS; sweap you of your feet and carry you away into the new future with HIM...and from your life/heart will flow rivers of living water to a thirsty world...and anyone who want to, may come to Jesus and and drink, for free...
