The following month God send the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin, Mary
engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David.Gabriel appeared to her
and said, ”Congratulations, favored lady! The Lord is with you!” Confused and disturbed, Mary
tried to think what the angel could mean.”Don't be frightened Mary,” the angel told her, ”for God
has decided to wonderfully bless you! Very soon now, you will become pregnant and have a baby
boy, and you are to name him 'Jesus'. He shall be very great and shall be called the Son of God. And
the Lord God shall give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he shall reign over Israel forever;
his Kingdom shall never end!” Mary asked the angel, ”But how can I have a baby? I am a virgin.”
The angel replied, ”The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of God shall overshadow
you; so the baby born to you will be utterly holy – the Son of God. Furthermore, six months ago
your Aunt Elizabeth – 'the barren one,' the called her – became pregnant in her old age! For every
promise from God shall surely come true.” Mary said, ”I am the Lord's servant, and I am willing to
do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true.” And the angel disappeared.[Luke 1:26-
38]
Zacharias was in the sanctuary when suddenly an angel appeared, standing to the right of the altar
of incense! Zacharias was startled and terrified. But the angel said, ”Don't be afraid, Zacharias! For
I have come to tell you that God has heard your prayer, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son!
And you are to name him John. You will both have great joy and gladness at his birth, and many
will rejoice with you. For he will be one of the Lord's great men. He must never touch wine or hard
liquor – and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from before his birth! And he will persuade
many a Jew to turn to the Lord his God. He will be a man of rugged spirit and power like Elijah, the
prophet of old; and he will precede the coming of the Messiah, preparing the people for his arrival.
He will soften adult hearts to become like little children's, and will change disobedient minds to the
wisdom of faith.” Zacharias said to the angel, ”But this is impossible! I'm an old man now, and my
wife is also well along in years.” Then the angel said, ”I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of
God. It was he who sent me to you with this good news! And now, because you haven't believed
me, you are to be stricken silent, unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly
come true at the proper time.” [Luke 1:11-20]
God talks to us. Sometimes he uses angels to do his business and the outcome of all this will
always be that whatever God decided will come to pass – but woe to the person not willing to
cooperate with his messenger! Believe it or not, but there R people who do not like the idea of
working together with God and these R the ones who always says 'No!' to anything that challenges
their own prefixed mindset; IF God wants to do business with them....He better ask first! If U want
favor with God – just believe anything He says! If it is from God, well...then it's up to Him making
it come true in front of your eyes. Let God be God, just shut up and let Him do whatever He wants to do. ”But we can't do that! God gave me a brain and a portion of intellect too – shouldn't I use that
in a circumstance like this? My God is a 'God of order' and is no friend with confusion whatsoever!” Zacharias was a man who used his own brain capacity to the fullest and he thought he was the smart one. But in front of God we R all very small and not smart at all....The best thing one can do is to applaud everything that comes from the mouth of God. Depending how brave U R there is then always room to challenge God and those words that he says to U. God likes a heart that is true towards itself as that means that the heart seeks for Truth and therefor has nothing to hide. Back in the Garden, Eve and Adam had something to hide and God was not to happy bout that behaviour...Always try to express your most deep and sincere wish in front of His face. If U do not burn THEN, U will never know the true meaning of fire and what that can do with your soul.Just remember there's a big difference between your heart and your brain; the first one is the harbour of your true and sincere believes, the second one is what society has taught U to believe and express. Be sure to say things from the deepest well in U: your Heart.
That is the
Secret of obeying God!That is also the Secret of Confronting God. Many do not know this for a fact and say things as if it was an established truth: "There is no God!" Well...I don't really care what U say or think about God - U better say it in front of His face, not mine!! Otherwise U R only fooling yourself and U don't even realize it...
It is better to say these things in front of His face
and burn,
than never take the time of doing it,
and burn for all eternity.
