April meeting: Usability - what any developer should know

, ,

Vaclav Slovacek will give us an introduction to usability and user-centered design, including a short overview of methods and practices to make applications more user-friendly and popular among users.

Usability techniques are not very well known in Czech Republic, but widely used by major foreign software companies. Having a great architecture and code may be a very good thing, but often not what matters most for the users.

The talk will be in Czech, the slides will be in English.

The meeting will be held in Restaurant Dobrý Den, Čáslavská 5 Monday April 27 at 18:00.

It is easiest to get there from the Flora metro station (line A, "green line"), with tram lines 5, 10, 11, 16 stopping there as well, or the Orionka tram/bus stop, where the tram lines 10 and 16 stop.
