Well, it has a potentially painfull sting. But, to my knowledge, the scorpions in South Africa are seldom lethaly dangerous. .
The most dangerous species of scorpion are found in Asia and the Middle East. .
But Australia has a nice collection of lethal nasties that make scorpions almost cuddly by comparison. .

Well, the Mambas are a serious threat, if you actually get to see one that is. .
(mind you, the threat is if you don't see it... in time! )
But you really have to keep an eye open for the amagents. .

Well, the clothing chain is named after the gang. .
'Amagents' is the name given to criminals who, during the eighties, selected only white victims. Of course, after 1994, their activities were still viewed as criminal, much to their suprise, by the new government. .
The term now refers to any common street punk. They normally choose to wear expensive designer clothing and real leather jackets. .
(one could say that they have something in common with the chav culture of England)
Of course, I was using the term more liberally as a reference to crime in general. .
