Aaaargh! I lost my phone....

, , , ,

Fortunately, someone honest found it and I got it back! happy .
Otherwise I wouldn't even be able to post this! scared .

So, on Saturday, I came down with fever! I spent the whole day in bed and I was so badly dehydrated that it took all night to replenish the lost fluids! cry .
I'm still feeling miserable, but at least the fever broke and I was able to keep up my fast! happy .
I've been on sick leave for the last seven days with a shoulder injury. My Doctor tells me it's my neck, and it's caused by bad posture! left The x-rays show clearly that my neck is straight where it should be curved! awww .
Now, because of this I was unable to straighten my arm out a week ago. Yet they still wanted me to escort an Inmate to the public hospital, on my own! rolleyes .
Now I would usually volunteer for this as it is nice to get away from the politics of the prison. But, with a dysfunctional arm, it was way to risky. I agreed to go only on the condition that whoever sends me take responsibility in writing. (If it's not in writing, it didn't happen! Welcome to bureaucracy!)
Naturally, they wouldn't do that! rolleyes .
So, that's a brief update! up

You know you're tweeting too much when...Gary Host

Can you get your hands on some sort of Oral Rehydration Salts for the future in case that happens again? Dee and I have had them in the past when we had the odd bug or flu here and there and they worked wonders.

Actually, yhe dehydration was only because I was fasting! up .

Sorry to hear about a troubles you had, after injured neck and that fever, all you needed was a stolen phone scared
Since March 2011 I am healthy, no cold or flu or anything else. I guess it is a consequence of a much lower level of stress since I came to Canada. And the fact that I was not working for about 6 months p

I tended to go a little faster than that. lol

If you are referring to the... erm... oral expulsion of fluids, for some reason or the other I have not experienced much of that sort, even though I was a full-blown drunkard for 10 - 15 years. Loose, liquid and powerfull bowel discharges, however - oh, yes, been there, done that. yuck knockout

Well, you have to develop a certain level of tolerance to reach that stage! I didn't drink very often but when I did drink, I drank fast! The body's natural tendency when exposed to toxins is to purge! I purged I lot on those occasions! lol

Actually yes, thanks! up
This was one of those rapid moving flu type bugs! On Saturday I had fever, on Sunday I had sore-throat. Monday began the running nose ans yesterday was the last bit of that. Today it's just a bit gummed up, the sun came out and dried up some of the rain. party .

Mrs. HermitessHermitess Wednesday, August 8, 2012 3:14:25 PM

bigsmile yay! Glad you are on the mend!
It's no fun being ill.

Spaggyj Thursday, August 9, 2012 11:02:11 PM

Wow, a real string of health related issues. I'm glad you're feeling better, how's the arm now? (And of course, phew about the phone!)

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Thursday, August 9, 2012 11:19:10 PM

Well, it appears that my arm is connected to my neck, which is being distorted by poor posture. Now I can correct my posture and keep things right when I'm awake, but as soon as I lay down to sleep, my spine curls up like a pretzel and I get problems with breathing or pains in my arm or both. rolleyes
I'm still waiting for test results before they refer me to the specialists. irked

Yes! That was a nervous hour and a half wondering what I would do if I never saw my phone again! scared

Suntana Friday, August 10, 2012 12:08:25 AM

I don't have a phone, but Oh MAN! If I ever lost my comb! http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Scared.gif -
But, seriously, I'm sure when you first realized you lost your phone, it must have been that same instant full body weak, hot feeling of DREAD that I had not too long ago when I was almost back home and realized I left my wallet at the store! Talk about PANIC! yikes I did get it back. The Cashier had taken it to the store's office.

Yup! Only, for us phone addicts it's even worse because that phone represents our entire lifestyle!! scared

Hopefully your shoulder ailment goes away much faster than what my oldest sister has endured. She too started having some serious shoulder pain about a year ago. And she too was having trouble raising an arm. In her case, a neck problem wasn't found, but years of bad posture as a secretary was mentioned as a factor in the equation.

She has had electrical treatments, heat treatments, massages and even taken medication. It HAS gotten better, but as far as I know, it hasn't gone away completely.

What definitely didn't help matters any there in the beginning was that she had 3 or 4 falls there within about a month. Ouch! Then she ran into a glass door BECAUSE she had now been all self-conscious of all the falls she had been having. So, she says that she found herself being all super careful to watch her steps and BAMM! She ran into the sliding door to her balcony because it was usually open, but not on this occasion. doh

Sounds very Inspector Clouseau doesn't it? scaredlol

Suntana Friday, August 10, 2012 1:02:59 AM

Yes ... VERY! http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

In a similar incident, apparently many years ago before my younger brother got married, he ran into a pillar at work because he was too busy watching over at his girlfriend in the distance while walking. BAMM! Ouch! scared That girlfriend is now his wife. So, I guess he could consider smacking into a pillar worth it. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL2.gif -

I guess she was flattered by the attention! lol

Suntana Friday, August 10, 2012 1:38:44 AM

Yep. Isn't there a saying:
Running into a pillar for your BF / GF is the sincerest form of flattery?

Or maybe ... If running into a pillar for your BF / GF isn't true love, I don't know what is.

Alright, maybe not. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ROFL.gif -

Harry...the man!harrytheman Friday, August 10, 2012 9:55:59 PM

I was driving my Mum home once, a few months after passing my driving test. It was a hot day and there was this girl walking past wearing this tight black dress...I mounted the kerb and in a Jamaican accent my Mum shouted at me that I was "a dangerous driver".

Suntana Friday, August 10, 2012 11:45:47 PM

Did your Mum make the connection as to exactly WHY you wound up on the curb? That would be embarrassing. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

The fever was one of those one day, hit 'n run type fevers that leave everyone wondering if you were just faking it! rolleyes
I'm blessed with a naturally strong immune system that prevents me from getting sick in most cases. And when I do get sick, it seldom lasts long! up
Of course, this means I hardly ever use up all my sick leave! lol
