Aaaargh! I lost my phone....
Sunday, August 5, 2012 7:10:56 PM
Fortunately, someone honest found it and I got it back!
.
Otherwise I wouldn't even be able to post this!
.
So, on Saturday, I came down with fever! I spent the whole day in bed and I was so badly dehydrated that it took all night to replenish the lost fluids!
.
I'm still feeling miserable, but at least the fever broke and I was able to keep up my fast!
.
I've been on sick leave for the last seven days with a shoulder injury. My Doctor tells me it's my neck, and it's caused by bad posture!
The x-rays show clearly that my neck is straight where it should be curved!
.
Now, because of this I was unable to straighten my arm out a week ago. Yet they still wanted me to escort an Inmate to the public hospital, on my own!
.
Now I would usually volunteer for this as it is nice to get away from the politics of the prison. But, with a dysfunctional arm, it was way to risky. I agreed to go only on the condition that whoever sends me take responsibility in writing. (If it's not in writing, it didn't happen! Welcome to bureaucracy!)
Naturally, they wouldn't do that!
.
So, that's a brief update!

Since March 2011 I am healthy, no cold or flu or anything else. I guess it is a consequence of a much lower level of stress since I came to Canada. And the fact that I was not working for about 6 months

Well, you have to develop a certain level of tolerance to reach that stage! I didn't drink very often but when I did drink, I drank fast! The body's natural tendency when exposed to toxins is to purge! I purged I lot on those occasions!

This was one of those rapid moving flu type bugs! On Saturday I had fever, on Sunday I had sore-throat. Monday began the running nose ans yesterday was the last bit of that. Today it's just a bit gummed up, the sun came out and dried up some of the rain.

It's no fun being ill.

I'm still waiting for test results before they refer me to the specialists.

But, seriously, I'm sure when you first realized you lost your phone, it must have been that same instant full body weak, hot feeling of DREAD that I had not too long ago when I was almost back home and realized I left my wallet at the store! Talk about PANIC!

She has had electrical treatments, heat treatments, massages and even taken medication. It HAS gotten better, but as far as I know, it hasn't gone away completely.
What definitely didn't help matters any there in the beginning was that she had 3 or 4 falls there within about a month. Ouch! Then she ran into a glass door BECAUSE she had now been all self-conscious of all the falls she had been having. So, she says that she found herself being all super careful to watch her steps and BAMM! She ran into the sliding door to her balcony because it was usually open, but not on this occasion.

In a similar incident, apparently many years ago before my younger brother got married, he ran into a pillar at work because he was too busy watching over at his girlfriend in the distance while walking. BAMM! Ouch!

Running into a pillar for your BF / GF is the sincerest form of flattery?
Or maybe ... If running into a pillar for your BF / GF isn't true love, I don't know what is.
Alright, maybe not. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ROFL.gif -

The fever was one of those one day, hit 'n run type fevers that leave everyone wondering if you were just faking it!
I'm blessed with a naturally strong immune system that prevents me from getting sick in most cases. And when I do get sick, it seldom lasts long!
Of course, this means I hardly ever use up all my sick leave!

Unfortunate about the dehydration and really sad about the the sholder/neck issues.
