Just been watching this documentary, with Bob Fosbury, Bob Fosbury, Bob Fosbury.

Casual investigation does not reveal clips of it on YouTube for those who can't play the documentary at that link.

I'll post this clip instead:

Some kind soul has posted a guide to the nebulae (not sure if they're all nebulae, actually) shown:

0:18 Minkowski's Butterfly (Minkowski 2-9)
0:23 Henize 3-401
0:28 Eight-burst (NGC 3132)
0:33 Spirograph (IC 418)
0:38 Cat's Eye (NGC 6543) - not the best image IMO

Beautiful images in the clip, the symmetry in some of them is astonishing.
Watching the documentary now.

The time limit, unfortunately, must have ran out. I wonder if someone will put it on YouTube. I found it very informative.

Deep space reminds me of the deep sea. Nebulae look like weird jellyfish. I have fanciful ideas about entities that are composed of stars in the same way that we are, apparently, composed of cells.
