The Life of Radostsguy

Death in a Soft Drink!

,

This is an email that was sent to me by a good friend whom I trust!

This is old news to me, and luckily I’ve never liked the taste of the stuff, but I do know plenty of people who drink this POISON and have no clue. I’ve not bothered to ‘fix’ the text this time. But if you ever drink or eat anything with the words DIET, or SUGAR FREE or any such thing, you should read this article. Thanks again to Dan in AZ for keeping me up to date.

SWEET POISON

A MUST READ
In October of 2001, my sister started getting
very sick. She had stomach spasms and she was having
a hard time getting around. Walking was a major
chore. It took everything she had just to get out of
bed; she was in so much pain.
By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and
muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription
medications. The doctors could not determine what
was wrong with her. She was in so much pain, and so
sick, she just knew she was dying. She put her house,
bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her
oldest daughter's name, and made sure that her
younger children were to be taken care of.
She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a
trip to Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for
March 22 nd
On March 19 I called her to ask how her most recent
tests went, and she said they didn't find anything
on the test, but they believe she had MS.
I recalled an article a friend of mine e-mailed to
me and I asked my sister if she drank diet soda? She
told me that she did. As a matter of fact, she was
getting ready to crack one open that moment.
I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the
diet soda!
I e-mailed her the article my friend, a lawyer, had
sent.
My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone
conversation and told me she had stopped drinking
the diet soda AND she could walk! The muscle spasms
went away. She said she didn't feel 100% but she
sure felt a lot better. She told me she was going to
her doctor with this article and would call me when
she got home.
Well, she called me, and said her doctor was amazed!
He is going to call all of his MS patients to find
out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any
kind.
In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the
Aspartame in the diet soda...and literally dying a
slow and miserable death.
When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to
take was one pill, and that was a pill for the
Aspartame poisoning! She is well on her way to a
complete recovery.
And she is walking! No wheelchair! This article
saved her life.
If it says 'SUGAR FREE' on the label; DO NOT EVEN
THINK ABOUT IT!
I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD
ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as
'NutraSweet,' 'Equal,' and 'Spoonful.'
In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced
that in the United States in 2001 there is an
epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.
It was difficult to determine exactly what toxin was
causing this to be rampant.
I stood up and said that I was there to lecture on
exactly that subject.
I will explain why Aspartame is so dangerous: When
the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees
F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME converts to
formaldehyde and then to formic acid, whi ch in turn
causes metabolic acidosis. Formic acid is the
poison found in the sting of fire ants. The methanol
toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple
sclerosis and systemic lupus. Many people were being
diagnosed in error. Although multiple sclerosis is
not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is!
Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as
multiple sclerosis, especially with Diet Coke and
Diet Pepsi drinkers. The victim usually does not
know that the Aspartame is the culprit. He or she
continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a
degree that it may become a life-threatening
condition.
We have seen patients with systemic lupus become
asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas.
In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis,
most of the symptoms disappear. We've seen many
cases where vision loss retur ned and hearing loss
improved markedly.
This also applies to cases of tinnitus and
fibromyalgia.
During a lecture, I said, If you are using
ASPARTAME (NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer fromfibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain,
unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred
speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably
have ASPARTAME poisoning!'
People were jumping up during the lecture saying, I
have some of these symptoms. Is it reversible?'
Yes! Yes! Yes! STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert
for Aspartame on food labels! Many products are
fortified with it! This is a serious problem.
Dr. Espart (one of my speakers) remarked that so
many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice, a nurse stated that
six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke
addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is
beyond coincidence!
Diet soda is NOT a diet product! It is a chemically
altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME
containing product that actually makes you crave
carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you
GAIN weight!
These products also contain formaldehyde, which
stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips
and thighs. Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is
used primarily to preserve 'tissue specimens.' Many
products we use every day contain this chemical but
we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!
Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once
free of the 'diet products' and with no significant
increase in exercise; his patients lost an average
of 19 pounds over a trial period.
Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics.
We found that some physicians, who believed that
they had a patient with retinopathy, in fact, had
symptoms caused by Aspartame.
The Aspartame drives the bloodsugar out of control.
Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to
the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are
NEUROTOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.
Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE. Especially
with di abetics, the Aspartame passes the
blood/brain barrierand it then deteriorates the
neurons of the brain; causing various levels of
brain damage, seizures, depression, manic
depression, panic attacks, uncontrollable anger and
rage.
Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms
in non-diabetics as well.
Documentation and observation also reveal that
thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD
have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when
these chemicals have been removed from their diet.
So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs'
(Ritalin and others) are no longer needed. Truth be
told, they were never NEEDED in the first place!
Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a
daily basis with the very foods that were 'better
for them than sugar.'
It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands
of pallets of diet Coke and diet Pepsi consumed by
men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be
partially to blame for the well-known Gulf War
Syndrome.
Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects,
i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of
conception and during early pregnancy.
Children are especially at risk for neurological
disorders and should NEVER be given artificial
sweeteners. There are many different case histories
to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures
and other neurological disturbances talking about a
plague of neurological diseases directly caused by
the use of this deadly poison.'
Here in lies the problem:
There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done. The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.
Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED!
There are now over 5,000 products on the market that
contain this deadly chemical and there will be
thousands more introduced. Everybody wants a 'piece
of the Aspartame pie.' I assure you that MONSANTO,
the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is.
And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among
others, the American Diabetes Association, the
American Dietetic Association and the Conference of
the American College of Physicians?
This has been recently exposed in the New York
Times.
These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives
or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take
money from the food industry and are required to
endorse their products.
Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill
that would require label warnings on products
containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant
women, children and infants. The bill would also
institute independent studies on the known dangers
and the problems existing in the general population
regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry,
neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.
The bill was killed.
It is known that the powerful drug and chemical
lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the
hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and
uninformed public. Well, you're Informed now! YOU
HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW!

Old hoax...

look for "aspartame hoax" about halfway down the page...

http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBUrbanMyths.shtml

Niddhogg 31. October 2007, 00:21

That's not debunking. Their only standing counter claim is that the letter, a personal, non-scientific account, has been found floating on the internet signed under two different names.

radostsguy 31. October 2007, 08:19

Standard procedure. Claims and counter-claims. Oh well, as long as somebody is profiting, all will be well.

I remember that the Thalidimide thing was a hoax too. And those folks who say we should cut down on oil consumption! Nonsense! The oil will last forever, as did our forests and sparkling clean water!

The problem is that there are so many professional liars around that how are we to know who or what to believe, ranging from Our Glorious Leaders, Advertising Execs, Special Interest Groupies, Lobbyists here there and everywhere, TV ads, Religious Fruitcakes, the list goes on.

Maybe the best answer is to believe no-one. Except radostsguy, of course! Or, better, whenever anyone opens his or her yap, say "Prove it!" And when they can't or won't or try the old Political Gobbeldegook trick, turn on your heel and walk away.

At least we could deal with the Glorious Leaders! If they lie, we could stage a Show Trial, and before they get to testify, hand them over to a lynch mob! That method has already been proven to work! But if anyone complains, tell then we're just Bringing Democracy!

Hey! I just thought of a great idea! Put a motion before the General Assembly of the UN stating that any Leader who deliberately lies to his own people must face charges of Treason! Then we'd know who the liars are, wouldn't we? All of them! :frown:

MossMan 31. October 2007, 13:16

No no no! There's an enormous difference here!

I'm not saying that aspartame is perfectly safe and that the content of the claims are a lie... I'm saying the E-MAIL IS A HOAX!!!

And, since this follows exactly the same pattern as all the other e-mail hoaxes (e.g. the one ten years ago saying Bill Gates would pay you money to test Windows) there is (probably) no truth to the message whatsoever. The hoaxers like to send out provocative, made-up stuff just to see how far the chain-mail will go.

For a discussion on the health aspects of Aspartame, go look at Wikipedia or something - but never, ever believe stuff like this without checking it out.

MossMan 31. October 2007, 13:21

I know these mails are total bunkum since I've seen the exact same stories I read in 1995 "happening" again in Singapore or Malaysia around 2000 and then again (translated almost word-for-word) somewhere in France in 2005.

The text is identical, sometimes the names of the people / businesses / locations have changed to make it fit the place it allegedly originates - but it's obviously rubbish.

Usually a quick look at sites like hoax-busters will show that it's a story that's been circulating for years, and they are almost always debunked as well.

SqueakeyCat 31. October 2007, 18:28

ok

radostsguy 31. October 2007, 23:55

All I can say is that this email did not arrive as spam, which is the normal means, I would think. It was sent to me by a friend who is no dummy. But you're right about that if it comes as spam. I usually just send any spam I get straight to the junkyard without even reading it! I'm from Missouri really. That's one reason I never believe the ravings of the lunatic politicians and would like to shoot the tel-"evangelist" devils who depict God as a sadistic monster, and then pretend that they are Christians!
Please understand Mossman, that I'm in any way putting in a personnal attack on you, because you have given me NO reason to do so. But how do I know I can believe hoax-busters? That what I was getting at in my previous post. How are we the people supposed to know who is trustworthy and who is not? Especially on the 'Net! Face it, how many of us know each other personally? We trust each other on blind faith, and some ability to "read between the lines!" We're we're not Trained Intelligence Officers, who are taught how to read between the lines. Except that radostsguy lad, who is KGB deep-cover!
Valerie Plame, a Patriotic American if there ever was one, was uncovered while in a Deep-cover CIA Operation in the ever dangerous Middle East, by her own Government! My God! If a goverment agent can't even trust her own bosses, how can we, The Great Unwashed, trust anybody?
Aside: It's a Criminal Offence to do that in USSA. As far as I'm concerned, it should be High-Treason. Penalty -death, as any fucking traitor deserves! That means YOU, Mr President! You're the Captain of the Ship, as you love to point out, so It's YOUR FAULT! To say nothing of the disasters in Afghanistan and Iraq! And now the bone-headed Neo Fascists want to start a third Lost Cause War! I won't even talk about the horrible mess they've created in former Best Friend and Only Trustworthy Ally in ME, Pakistan, who has Nukes!
Just let me go to Moscow and see Swan Lake at the Bolshoi, that's all I ask. Then the Grim Reaper can have my miserable soul any time he wants.

MossMan 1. November 2007, 11:51

Umm.. okay.

Anyway, Hoax-Busters is just one of the sites that catalogue all these e-mail myths. And it fits my own experience, so I see no reason to mistrust them.

SqueakeyCat 1. November 2007, 20:45

but even those sites have been known to be wrong...there was one post in particular (i don't remember it off hand, it was awhile back), that was listed on snopes.com and was listed as a HOAX, but...the ACTUAL NEWS POST was still up on the ASSOCIATED PRESS' NEWS page, so u tell me how much is actually a hoax and what is real, if there is proof that NOT all that is listed as a hoax is a hoax

radostsguy 2. November 2007, 08:33

The other thing is that many years ago now, the Government of the Province of Ontario, back when Governments actually were on the side of the people, allowed flouride in the water, but put a very strict limit on it. They must have had a reason.

Also, I never quite belived that they were willing to spend that kind of money in order to make a tiny, if any, reduction in dental caries. That's not like governments. They are concerned about something as insignificant as that, yet don't mind that many of their people are living in poverty? It just doesn't add up.

MossMan 2. November 2007, 09:52

Squeaky - if something seems to be "right" 95% of the time it means you can generally assume they're right - although not have a blind faith in everything written there.

So even if they've made mistakes, you can take whatever you read there as "probably correct".

It's just like Wikipedia - lots of people say that because there may be a few dubious articles on there (which, by the way, are corrected if discovered) the whole body of content can't be trusted. This just isn't true! My work is on aircraft design and advanced materials... and I've found Wikipedia to be a highly reliable authority on most general engineering and even specialist subjects.

Again, don't follow their word religiously, but it's a pretty safe bet it's right.

It's all about the probabilities.

radostsguy 2. November 2007, 22:46

FINK! I was going to mention wiki too and say what you just said. :irked:

Sadly, the 'Net probably has as much propaganda as it has porn! But they fall into the same category.

Niddhogg 2. November 2007, 23:15

Ah, true. Come propaganda, ran into these yesterday, think you'd appreciate them:

And a very nice one from WWII (by the Germans):

Of course, that'd apply to all sides engaged in war, although some more so than others.

radostsguy 3. November 2007, 00:39

Rhodesio is now Zimbabwe, right? Well, it's hardly Communist! It's just a simple little old tyranny! And the leader is a first class capitalist! He's filthy rich, while his people starve!

Niddhogg 3. November 2007, 00:53

Yup, that's the one. But this was still Cold War era; Mugabe fought a white supremacy regime for independence, the last one after South Africa. The British were obviously against self rule and capitalist, so the Soviet Union was an obvious and expedient ally for Muggy to turn to.

Considering, in hindsight, the division was for many pragmatic power-seekers not so different from that of the contending powers in the thirty years war, which was ostensibly between Catholic and Protestant, but really more Monarchs vying for a bigger share.

radostsguy 3. November 2007, 07:52

Yep. And now that the successor to the Tsar's Empire has gone away, for now, anyway, it's USSA's time to build an Empire, using the phony "War on Terrorism" as an excuse.
But in her very first two times to try and create colonies by Aggressive Warfare, she has lost. So much for Imperial America.
But, as they say, shit happens!
Now, on the bright side, a picture story from China sent to me as an email by an American who had the sense to move to Netherlands:
Justice is done!

MossMan 3. November 2007, 10:42

Sadly, the 'Net probably has as much propaganda as it has porn! But they fall into the same category.

But I don't think I enjoy propaganda as much, though... :jester:

radostsguy 3. November 2007, 11:27

As a matter of fact, the same thought crossed my mind as I wrote it. But I was too lazy to edit it!

Rapunzel 4. November 2007, 17:52

Puss I received same email, passed to me by a friend who works in the health industry. My dad spent time checking out the details the only difference he could find listed was the temperature at which the Aspartame became toxic (formaldehyde).
I've always felt diet products were bad for you. Wasn't Micheal.J.Fox (now a Parkinsons patient) drinking vast amounts of Diet Coke when making the 'Back to the Future' films?.

Damnit I woke up last week to find myself living in a police state. I look around and think, woah if this is hapening here, how's the rest of the world doin?
Link for you Puss.

Niddhogg 4. November 2007, 18:15

So even in paradise . . . :worried:

Rapunzel 4. November 2007, 19:20

Ayup, I'm afraid so.
The article doesn't mention the Molotov cocktails police found and referred to as 'Napalm Bombs'.

Niddhogg 4. November 2007, 19:38

:faint:

An ice bath daily for every politician  .

Rapunzel 5. November 2007, 02:02

What so they can't breed?!
Lol

radostsguy 8. November 2007, 18:24

HI! Rap! Long time no see!
Just think if that Traitor Grandpa Bush had been shot as he deserved! There would be no Shrub!
I have no problem with No-Breed Glorious Leaders!
I have a feeling that "Paradise" has been infected by the Bushitis Plague. :frown:

Rapunzel 9. November 2007, 00:21

Yup this year they've dictated:
Parental rights
Dog owning rights
Firework exploding rights
~and now they're working on trashing basic human and civil rights.
They lost the right to charge these activists as terrorists.
No doubt they will still be charged under the arms act.
That way nobody can blame the police or the Govt.
All nice and tidy like.

SqueakeyCat 11. November 2007, 19:55

bush is fkd in the head with all his bs, especially vetoing a bill that would give children more health coverage

Rapunzel 11. November 2007, 20:44

My mistake, seems now as if the Police Commish has been offered as sacrificial lamb. The last of the so called 'terrorists' have now been released.

Niddhogg 11. November 2007, 21:28

All stray hippies, peace activists and tree hugger-types?

(I'll count myself under those)

Rapunzel 13. November 2007, 21:43

Our Solicitor General says this new Terrorism Law is at best 'Incoherent.'
There's a hikoi (large mass of outraged Maori and other activist groups) marching a 3 day protest against this Bill passing.
They stopped at Levin last night with a days march to go. Last night Parliament met late and passed this Terrorism Bill into our law.
Ah well it'll make for an interesting news night.

Tree hugging, more apt than you may think. The Maori activists that were raided own the land that gives access to land leased to an overseas forestry company. There's a few hundred acres of mature pine they can't fell as they can't guarantee they'll get it trucked out.

Cest la vie
