OpManager 5 - NostalgiaLong ago, when I was working in OpManager, I came up with a UI for "Admin/Settings" module. This was planned for OpManager 5.5. But later we scrapped this and opted for the old UI itself. Here is the sample JPEG that illustrates the proposed UI.

I think this happens only in India : the peculiar preferences that comes up when it is about traditional marriage. I know this is a off-topic to this blog. But I feel okay to post it here, as this is MY BLOG! (too strong a statement huh?)
It doesnt matter whats the nature/character/a girl or boy has. To most people, all that matters is BSc or BE or MBBS or MPhil or some professional graduation. I think graduation is a key to get a good job, a credit and nothing more than that. You have a professional graduation? you will get a good job at the beginning itself. You have a good graduation from a reputed institute? you will get a job at some MNCs or big names. If u dont have, you may have to start from humble beginnings. Thats the difference. Even if you dont have some additional qualifications, you can very well study after joining a job. Thats solves the equation.

Well there was some sort of physical surgery followed by some mental hibernation. mani and others were waiting for my works to start as soon as possible. After a meeting with mani, we decided upon o work on zoho crm and zoho mypc products.
I am recovering in a great pace. Soon the Zoho CRM will feature a new UI with better usability and user experience. Already we have incorporated the Web-to-Lead feature which is more user-friendly and easier to use. I found the web-to-lead's usability issues when sitting along an online demo with one evaluator. Certainly the old UI was not that intuitive. We found the two tab approach was quite cumbersome to interact with. So in the new UI we removed the two tab approach. And merged the contents into one single UI. Upon testing, we found the UI is much better to navigate and interact with. Till now, there was no complaints from the users, which makes us believe that the UI is well accepted.
Next thing is a new feature called "Quick Confiugration Wizard". Will update more later. :-)
