Updates:

--- September 18th, 2010 ---

New version, version 1.2, updated the link to the updated 'Youtubian bookmarklet' script.
New name in order to avoid confusion, 'YouTubian User JavaScript' is now 'YouTubian BookMarklet User JavaScript', see below why.
With the updated 'Youtubian bookmarklet' script, also came out the 'Youtubian User JavaScript'.

--- January 4th, 2010 ---

Initial release, version 1.1, the 'YouTubian User JavaScript'.

The story:

Inspired by 'Download your favorite YouTube videos with Opera' blog post, I quickly had the idea to make a User JavaScript file that gives you more advanced download options on a YouTube page.

Ok, brilliant idea, but that's not an easy task, how you've done that? alien

Well, I used a small trick, I placed the 'Youtubian bookmarklet' into a new '.js' file and added the necessary lines of code in order to make it usable as a User JavaScript.

Why should I use this script?

Using this script you get some advanced video download options on any YouTube watch page and also 'a faster, lighter' interface. If you previously were a 'Youtubian bookmarklet' clicker, you no longer have to click on the 'Youtubian bookmarklet' when you open a new YouTube page, the 'Youtubian bookmarklet' it's automatically 'loaded'. You are now using the 'YouTubian User JavaScript' the 'YouTubian BookMarklet User JavaScript'. bigsmile

How do you use this script?

Using Opera's User JavaScript feature. In addition, to manage this script, and also others, I'm using the Opera Unite application called 'UJS Manager'; this way I can quickly turn the script on and off without having to leave the browser.

Where can I find the script?

At the beginning of this blog post and also below:
youtubian-user-javascript.js
youtubian-bookmarklet-user-javascript.js

So, once again, how you've done that?! You used copy/paste and wrote about 4 lines of code and a bunch of comments?

Don't forget about the brilliant idea. whistle

Sure; if I'm not mistaken, this was your first blog post, right?

Right... really. smile
