SMD-to-DIP adapter board layouts

, , , ,

I often have SMD ICs that I want to use in a breadboard prototype. For this I have made some one-sided adapter PCBs:

In addition to above SOIC-DIP adapters I have made some TSSOP-DIP adapters.
All of them can be downloaded in my SMD2DIP adapter package (ZIP with Eagle board and schematic files, 55 KB).
Please let me know if you find them useful.

Jose Neto writes: Yes, they are useful. I have one question - How can I solder them on the motherboard? Maybe using sockets? regards Jose

Hi Jose,
I'd use pin headers. Solder them to the board first, then solder the side onto the board.
