virtual reality in progress...

24 oysters 8 clams & coconut juice

when it rains - coffee or tea?

like any morning, unsuspecting of what might be lurking outside of my dream world, i woke up and instantly made the decision to abandon the comforts of my bed and face reality... pulled up the shades and examined traffic outside the window, just as i thought, your usual morning rush hour, all these folk, eager to get to their respective jobs, appointments, etc. stuck ... how sad, i thought... and headed for the kitchen. maneuvering through last night's dinner dishes i've managed to fill the kettle with water and turn it on...
i have two kettles, one nice, innocent and bright yellow, like a smiley, but quite slow, by the time the water boils, it's time for afternoon tea, which, rest assured, will be announced with rather annoying whistle that rips through the ear like an out of control freight train, making you drop everything and run to turn it off before the local fire department hears it... i use it mostly on the weekends... to keep nice with the neighbors
the other is rather plain, white electric one... silent, but super fast. some mornings, especially those slow sluggish "i need more sleep" or hangover ones, i have to refill it with water twice because by the time i get my cup and pick out which tea to have, the water has all but boiled itself out to a humid cloud steaming up my windows...
thankfully this morning, the fog was on the outside, perhaps it's because i decided on coffee instead of tea....
now... what shall i wear today?

what sign are you?music to my ears... not... but...

I know. That is when you let your fantasies unwind and single-handedly create a fresh out of bed look with your fingers. But I thought that would take only ten seconds.:D

Whistling kettles are awesome! :D We used to have one, until it broke. We now have one that boils quickly but it keeps boiling and boiling and then decides to switch itself off.
Dishes are evil!

My mum usually does them and we don't have a dish washer. She once went to Sydney for the weekend and my dad, sister and I used every single bowl, cup, glass in the house...and then we had to wash it all AHHH It took about 2 hours!
