I have had almost exactly the same experience with my 1997 Audi 100. Yes, the repairs can be costly, but they are relatively few and far between. I have driven this car between New York and Texas several times, and I also received excellent gas mileage. One area where my experience differs - I have not had to replace the Audi 100 Clutch and brake pads in over a year and a half, and the rotors have not been replaced since I have had the car (7 years).

I found this review in researching the "ETS OFF" warning light. This problem just popped up for me. It is good to see that other have had the problem as well. So far, the performance of the vehicle does not seem to be affected.
