Google Chrome

The first impression was, damn this thing launches quickly. And it is fast.
However, lack of some key features makes it rather useless. Here are some things that i really miss...
- mouse gestures, can't live without them anymore, they are true time savers
- some form of a bit more advanced bookmark manager to edit bookmarks
- AdBlock, i'm sure we all hate dumb inpage ads that bork up entire page(s) layout
- bookmark synchronization. When i tried Opera Link and Foxmarks, there is no way going back, plus it keeps my bookmarks safe if i have to restore partition from image. No worries to backup the profile first. I just log in with extension/Opera Link later and everything is back again.
- where the hell is integrated GMail notifier!? Their second main service behind search engine itself and no support for it what so ever!?
- sure they want it simple but some more settings wouldn't hurt. I can't even disable damn spell checking that only works in one language. Either my native or english.
I understand it's an early beta and will probably stay this way for quite some time.
Some ppl are already sold to Chrome but i'll wait till i get above features. Risk of losing all bookmarks that i gathered over the years is just not worth it if browser doesn't have any kind of online sync option.
And clicking Back button for going back is really tiring. And GMail, oh dear. I need constant notifications to keep on track, otherwise i just forget to check my mail.
We'll see if Google will make these features part of Chrome.
If they want me as an user, they sure will have to do that...

But what I didn't like most was the display of website I have visited. I have no problem with my co-workers or wife see what sites I have on my Opera-quick starter, but I do not want someone to see at one glance what sites I have visited within the last hours.

Try strokeit for all of your mouse gesture needs. Gives you mouse gesture capability for *every* application. It's an old application, but works great, loaded with features and capability. I'm using it on XP...I've seen posts that it works in Vista with a few caveats.
