Allan´s Weblog

Laughing so hard my stomach aches

,

I don't know if the following video is fake or not - but nevertheless it contains the essence of all I find funny.

 Very amusing. Not real, I am sure, but very nicely done.

 I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. The guy reminds me of some of the beer drinkin, truck drivin, cow pokes we have in Arizona. They got their hats and boots, but don't have their horse anymore to carry them safely home without incident.

I only dance when I'm totally drunk. For some reason I only respond to march-rythm when sober. It's diffucult for me to explain and hard for people to understand, I am, after all a skilled rock'n'roll drummer, and the fact that I lack any shred of rythm when not sitting at the drums somehow defies logic in most people's world. Not in my world, though.

A good laugh is never too much.

I agree with the commentator on youTube, that has to be Reno 911. Which the first time I watched it I thought was an actual cop reality show.

That is very funny. I love his dance move modifications.

Well, what would I know? Reno 911 - what's that?

Well, didn't expect it to be anything bur fake after all.

I've only watched that show maybe twice I think.

Here, you more typically see the terrible, real videos of cops pulling people over -- the ones where the cop gets shot or run over by a passing truck. It's nice to see something humorous!

I could probably find the show on YouTube.

Extreme consumption of all sorts alcoholic beverages is a common sport in Denmark, we did invent Carlsberg and Tuborg. This particular circumstance of culture impliments a tolerant and mild attitude towards non-sober behavour. Staggering around totally pissed in a public square at day-time will not bring you in trouble with neither police nor fellow pedestrians unless you start singing or fighting. After all: we've all been there and done that ourselves.

PS: Singing and fighting while pissed is okay at soccer-games.

Thanks, guys.

Martin, I've never seen anyone being nicked for singing. Not even myself - and I have sung my fair part :eyes:

I was stopped once by a policeman for jaywalking. I tried to explain, that I was dancing, but he didn't buy it. Maybe the facts that I was all alone and not exactly sober and that it took place in the middle of the street around midnight made him make that particular judgement.

I came out from this bar once. I'd had more than enough of beer. Because of the beer I suddenly felt a strong urge to conduct the traffic at the nearby street-crossing.

Having done that a while, a dark car stopped beside me, the window slid down an a voice from inside said:

"Which union are you a member of?"

"Errr, The Social Educators' Union", said I.

"OK, good for you, but unless you're a member of my union, which is The Danish Union of Police Officers, I suggest you move to the sidewalk immediately and leave the traffic-conducting to me. Now!"

Me, I vanished into thin air :eyes:

I've spend the night in drying-out cells a few times. One morning at the 'ceck-out counter' the on-duty officer offered to drive me home. I was off course thankfull, but had to politely refuse his offer. 'I'll find my way home,' I said. 'Are you sure?'. It was obvius that he was honestly concerned, wich let me to point at the official form, I'd just filled out. He read it - and laughed. At that time I lived in the building just opposite the police station...
