Very nice! I saw a loverly stand (is that a proper word for this context?) of poppies ... I was driving, so I didn't stop ... now, I wish I had.

not banal at all. I'm with you, poppies are worthy of celebrating and worthy to use to ring in a celebration! they are SO very cheerful, thanks for posting. these flowers always make me stop and stare.
