Butterflies in my belly as if I was only five

Can anyone guess who's going to a Deep Purple concert Saturday?

Anyone?

Wonder what the combined age of Deep Purple & the audience would be..
Bet they have a zimmer frame section in the crowd..

Allanricewood Saturday, November 21, 2009 9:49:30 AM

Thanks, all.

You know, I work with teenagers every day, and they all know Deep Purple. If not for other things then at least for the tune "Smoke on the Water" - that riff that every adolescent boy MUST try to play when left alone with a guitar for a few seconds.

& how was it?

Allanricewood Sunday, November 22, 2009 1:28:32 PM

It was good. Not a group of elderly people doing some left-hand work in order to squeeze the last drops of the lemon. No, on the contrary - people working hard making hefty and juicy rock with nerve and presence.

And damned loud, too bigsmile

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Sunday, November 22, 2009 1:53:21 PM

cool up

Allanricewood Monday, November 23, 2009 10:33:29 AM

You could buy earplugs in the bar

KimberlySqueakeyCat Tuesday, November 24, 2009 5:35:52 PM

did you enjoy the concert, like you were 5?

Allanricewood Tuesday, November 24, 2009 8:05:31 PM

Good question. No - not even like I were 15. But very much 50.

KimberlySqueakeyCat Wednesday, November 25, 2009 10:01:55 AM

oh ok

i take it, it was not what you were expecting.

Allanricewood Wednesday, November 25, 2009 5:55:21 PM

It was. But I am 50, and that makes a difference

I am not the kind of guy who pays full prize for a reduced volume

der WandersmannderWandersmann Wednesday, December 2, 2009 8:00:58 AM

How about preserving your hearing?

The lads at the range laughed at me when I put on muffs ... but now I can hear almost as well as I could when I was a kid ... and they can't.

Allanricewood Saturday, December 5, 2009 12:05:54 PM

I don't care much about my hearing. I am an old man with not much time left - and I have heard most already wink

Seriously - I really should be more sensible.
