A Happy Entry

I know, I know - things like this is nothing out of the ordinary.
It's just that our foster son (age 22) visited us last night and brought a fine young woman with him, announcing that the two of them had the intentions of getting a flat, move in together and love each other forever and ever.
Even though this happens to most everybody a million times every day on this planet, it was very special for us. Probably even more because he is our only one.
Some of you may know, that Lise, my wife, suffers from multiple sclerosis. A damned disease, which gradually destroys the nervous system. In Lise's case very slowly, fortunately.
But because of the sclerosis, with which she was diagnosed in '91, she decided not to become pregnant since she was afraid that would further jeopardize her situation. A decision I fully supported. Hence the foster son.
So, you see - last night was special to us indeed. Life keeps on moving, giving way to new beginnings, new generations, new true love.
Our hearts are gladdened. Today we are a bit more quiet than usual - but with a smile on our faces.

Yes, Deborah. Yesterday, for just a minute, I felt that I had done at least something right
Thanks, both.
