Allan´s Weblog

In Denmark, anybody can be president. That’s one of the risks you take

Give Me a Cup of Sky

,

Spending time in wetlands
with soaked leather boots
makes me fully understand
that my physical life on Earth
is dependent on mainly one thing

Water within me
water outside me
most of the world
as I know it
is water

Pure and
clear
streaming and
running
Eroding and
building

Water within
can't live without
it's the well of life

I want to gorge in water
thirsty for life as I am
give me a cup of that sky!

Thanks so much, all. Very encouraging comments.

Mickey - no, it's not my painting - but it is my photograph, though

That was my second guess. But you did some photoshop on it, right? It really does look like it was painted to me.

Not exactly photoshop - but something else called HDR imaging. The reason it looks like a painting is because this technique makes up for the natural limitations to photography. If we'd paint a landscape, we would paint details in the shadows at the same time as maintaining details in the highlight-areas of the picture.

Normal photography normally have a hard time doing just that - unless applied this special technique.

 Oh yes, I remember that it was a bit of a fad on My Opera, but I haven't seen any HDR photos for a while.
