The Dead Bunnies

, , ,

Today at my job was a day of sorrow. Two bunny kittens died - with only a few hours' interval.

Of course the kids who looked after the particular bunnies were close to devastated. They cried, I comforted as I could best, telling them about nature's ways and that everything would be okay eventually. They asked if there was a such thing as a bunny heaven? I had a second to think it over and said yes, I believe there is.

Then, after the burial and after having crafted two crosses and written on them, the girls made a prayer which was said simultaneously and in which they prayed that God would see to it that there would be sufficient amounts of carrots and green grass in Heaven?

At that point I was touched, too.

Last Day of Easter

, ,

Easter is coming to an end.

Easter represents the death and the arising of the Lord Jesus Christ. The most holy of times in the Christian Church.

Also the narcissus (called the Easter Lilly here) represents Easter in Denmark, I thought this one from my garden was looking just like today, the last day of Easter this year. It's dying, but the hope of resurrection still stands for all of us.

A Word To The Son

There you are again, sweet Jesus. Still hanging around in churches, I see.

You know, I always thought it was strange that we humans tend to depict you hanging on that cross. I mean, you have been taken down, buried and risen from the dead, haven't you?

Maybe we use you hanging on that cross in order to remember that you died for us. To release us.

Well, I still feel sorry for you. Your dad is good, I know. He wouldn't want you to suffer more than necessary. I know he's good; he gently breathes on my eyelids while I sleep, you see. Wouldn't he let you get down from that uncomfortable and painful cross, then?

That's why I don't have a crucifix at home. I really do feel sorry for you while watching crucifixes.

I have a cross. An empty cross. That's more than enough for me.

Say hello to dad for me, will you?
