Just a short notice. You may not be interested at all, but just in case......

You know, I have fallen totally for a group of young people called "Alphabeat". They're actually local people from around where I live - and they just may become "the next big thing" in pop music.

I normally don't listen to music like that - but in this case I am ready to make an exception. I like the kids - charming and happy-go-lucky as they appear to be.

Now I am presenting them to you - in case you're not familiar with them already. If you're not, please remember that I was the one to point you in the direction of the next big thing first

I find it interesting how many bands I'm hearing right now that sound like 80s bands -- like here Katrina and the Waves or late Human League. I wonder if that's due to their parents having a lot of those albums lying around the house when they were young, and listening to them. Because it certainly seems to be a generaional thing -- 10 years ago or so it was more late-60s and 70s bands that seemed to be the influence.

Anyway, they are a good band. And I will definitely have to try to pick up some babe photos of that singer!

Interesting theory, Edward. Sometimes the revival-wave even stretches across two generations. I am thinking about some of the young people making their versions of soul.
