My message in a bottle

Swimming In Air

,

During these days of
being dragged to the ground
I look to the birds

I want, I wish
to spread my wings and fly
lift off from the ground

To happily forget
what heavily weighs me down
swimming in air

Having only one thing
on my previously troubled mind
- where to catch a fish

I like this very much Allan. To me, very deep words coming from you as I read between the lines. You lighten it with your last line "where to catch a fish" that made me smile.

der Wandersmann 10. July 2009, 13:41

Let's hope it's a fish ... and not some garbage thrown away from the human world.

Still more thanks. So glad you popped by.

Ed, are you developing expensive habits?

Edward Piercy 11. July 2009, 20:13

What is the saying? "Champagne tastes on a beer budget."

nice poem . The bird on your photo seems very free, can spread his wings and fly whenever he wants ...

der Wandersmann 15. July 2009, 14:11

No bird has ever solved a problem that he could fly away from.

Allan 15. July 2009, 19:22

Thank you, all commenters.

Wandersmann, sorry - I may be a bit slow, but I don't think I get your drift. Would you care to elaborate? It sounds interesting.

der Wandersmann 16. July 2009, 03:55
