A Historical Account Of The Rise EU US Western Global Government

Introduction
The EU-US Western World government is based on the framework of the New Transatlantic Agenda established in 1995. There is continued political dialogue between the EU and the US. Many informal meetings and visits complement the formal events, ensuring more or less daily contacts. As a rule, there is a summit once a year - bringing together the US President and the US Secretary of State with the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission and the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy - and ministerial meetings are held twice a year. The dialogue also involves Political directors meetings, Senior Level Group (senior officials from various departments) and Task Force (more regular contacts to move the relationship forward) meetings, as well as expert meetings on a wide range of geographical or thematic issues. A dialogue on Transport and Border Security, also involving the US Homeland Security and Justice Department started in 2004. The EU is represented in troika format (Presidency, High Representative/Secretariat, Commission).
