Meltdown imminent

The plot of the movie is quite simple: The end of the ice age is near, and the icecaps have started melting. Because of Sid's stupid actions, he and the others of his "pack" discover that the valley they are living in is going to be flooded very soon. Thus a race against time commences, while they try to warn the other animals to get to safety. Plain and simple, but a movie like this doesn't need an all to complicated storyline.
The complete cast from the previous movie is back, with a couple of new additions. I won't tell you who joins the gang, I would spoil the fun too much for some of you
But there's one feeling I couldn't shake off: Take Scrat out of the script, the funny little rodent always on a quest to find nuts, and the movie would have lost about half of its appeal. Although he doesn't say a thing and occasionally appears onscreen, his part is important to the storyline and kind of acts as a cohessive throughout the plot.
Ice Age 2 might not be an instant classic, it's so delightfully funny and action-packed. Finally a sequel that's able to live up to (and sometimes even surpass) its high expectations. It would be a shame not to go see it!
Oh, one last thing to all parents out there that sometimes go to the movies with their offspring. If you happen to notice one of your rascals is constantly kicking the chair in front of him/her, and thereby annoying the hell out of the person occupying that seat, THEN TAKE SOME ACTION AND DISCIPLINE YOUR DAMN KID!!! Djeez, if I wouldn't be civilised, I'd probably cracked the little bugger's skull open and eaten the gooey stuff inside...
