PS: the widget has just been released to the public! Click here to go to download page

multiWeather 2.0 went gold!

Hi all,
thanks to the astonishing number of comments in the two previous posts(1) I've finally ultimated and submitted multiWeather 2.0!!!

As you can clearly see the main news here is: COLORS!!! Just click on any weather icon to cycle between 8 different colors!
The widget is not publicly available as of yet. Will be approved and released to the public soon. Stay tuned!

(1)Sarcastic, of course smile

Work in progress...

Enjoy and tell me what you think!

New look... maybe

I admit: i'm the worst graphic designer in the planet. No way i can even imagine to tell a shoking pink from a peach one. I live in a CGA, 16 colors, world. So i need your help. I'm updating my widget's graphic dress; this is what i've been able to mess right now, what do you think?

Leave your comments pls!
Bye

How to loose weight...

...or 2 simple steps to halve your best widget's size!

1. remove all duplicated weather icons and make some little adjustments in the JS code.
2. use Photoshop's "Save for Web" feature to shrink the size of all the remaining icons.

multiWeather is now only 1MB away from your desktops. Go get it!!!

What's the weather like in...? and in...? and in...?

Second post in a day, i know, i know...
it won't happen anymore, i promise! Nice to see you again, BTW smile

Do you know what is a Opera widget? I'm sure you do, you're browsing the Opera Community after all! Anyway, in short, widgets are small, chromeless (that is: without borders) windows that float in your desktop and (usually) offer you many useful services. Opera introduced widgets with version 9.0.

You can download lots of them for free at widgets.opera.com.

Why am I bothering you with widgets' story? Because i developed one, it's called multiWeather, you can see it in the photo, and because it happens that opera started a widget competition and so I need you to download my widget in mass and to give me your positive vote smile Hehehe

Pls, don't be so angry at me smile I think you'll find it quite useful. It displays the current weather conditions of up to six different locations aroung the globe, so your girlfriend/boyfriend living abroad won't fool you anymore saying "It's stormy here honey, i'll stay at home this night" wink

So, what are you waiting for? Download it, test it, vote it!!!

Thanks!!! smile

See you!

Welcome to my new blog

Ok i confess: i won't use this blog very much, hence the name!

I don't want to express my feelings through the lines of a (public) blog. I'm not that kind of guy, really.
When i have a problem, I don't start writing a post to tell the world, no way.
When i have a problem, I go out, take a deep breath, relax my mind and then enter the nearest pub and drink as much beer as i need to forget everything!

Anyway, thanks for your visit.
See you! wink
