Wand for the Nintendo DS Browser

As the Nintendo DS Browser doesn't keep cookies between sessions, the bookmarks memory is the only place to store login data locally. This Wand bookmarklet contains all the login data for the different web sites as part of its URL, and use this data to log in to the web sites.
The way it works is that every time you store new login data for a web site, a new version of the bookmarklet is generated that contains the new data (as well as the old data). You can then bookmark this new version of the bookmarklet and delete the old one.
The Wand can be used to remember login data for unlimited web sites as long as you have free storage space left. You can also have several different usernames and passwords for the same site.
To get the Wand for the Nintendo DS Browser:
- Go to and bookmark the link that says: "Wand for the Nintendo DS Browser" at the bottom of this post in your Nintendo DS Browser.
- Enter Edit Mode for the bookmarks.
- The Wand bookmark should already be selected. If not, select it. Then click Edit.
- Click on the URL. Then remove the 10 first lines of the URL, so that it starts with javascript. (The easiest way to do this is to use the stylus to set the focus near the start of the URL. Then use L + the Control Pad to set focus exactly at the start of the URL. Then use R + the Control Pad to select the text to be deleted.)
- Click OK twice to save the changes.
To store login information for a web site:
- Go to the login page of the web site.
- Select Wand from the Bookmarks menu.
- If you don't have any stored information for that web site, you are asked: "Create entry?". Click OK.
- Fill out the login form on the web page, then submit it. A new version of the bookmarklet is created.
- Bookmark that page. Then go to Edit Mode and remove the ten first lines of the URL, so that the URL starts with javascript.
- To not waste storage space, you should make sure to delete the old version of the bookmarklet.
To login to a web site that you have stored login data for:
- Go to the web page with the login form.
- Select Wand from the Bookmarks menu.
- If it has login data for that web site, you are asked: "Use [username]?". Simply click OK to log in. (If you have more than one username and password stored for that web site, just click Cancel until the desired username is shown. Then click OK to log in.)

I don't guarantee that it will work on all web sites - in fact I know that it won't. But for all the major web sites that I have tested it with, it has worked perfectly. These include sites such as my.opera.com, link.opera.com, widgets.opera.com, google.com, login.yahoo.com, secure.del.ico.us, digg.com and several others. But if I find any major web sites that it doesn't work with, I might consider changing the code. I know some ways that it might fail to work. But I tried to keep it simple and to keep the code short, to save storage space.
