Looks like you never got a reply to your question, and although it may be too late to help you, I'll try:
I'm new to this widget myself, and just looking at it for the first time, but it appears that events may be saved in the "widgets.dat" file in the widgets folder of your Opera installation. Check to see if you have an old copy of this file in what you saved from your old Opera. (I'm assuming from the date of your post that you probably upgraded to Opera 10. I have several versions of Opera installed, and my Opera 9.51-9.64 widgets folders are under C:\Documents and Settings\(UserName)\Application Data\Opera\(OperaVersion)\profile\, but my Opera 10 widgets folder is under C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\(OperaVersion)\.
If you do have an old "widgets.dat" file, it may contain data or settings from other widgets as well, and I doubt that it can simply be substituted for the new "widgets.dat" file unless the individual widget subfolders in the widgets folder (named with a 30-digit number in Opera for Windows) match the section id (e.g., <section id="396588813344812170271229762077">) in the new "widgets.dat" file. (They might match, if your Opera 10 upgrade installed (or left) widgets in the same exact location where they were before. If they do match, close Opera, make a backup of the new "widgets.dat" file and then copy the old one into its place and reopen Opera and try the widget. If it doesn't work right, just close Opera and copy the backup of the new "widgets.dat" file back into the folder.)
If you just need a reminder of what events were previously stored you may be able to get sufficient info by opening the old "widgets.dat" file with a text editor and reviewing the relevant lines.
If you want to try to import the previous events, close Opera and make a backup copy of the new "widgets.dat" file then try copying and pasting the relevant lines from the old "widgets.dat" file into the new one, save it, and re-open Opera and try the widget. Again, if it doesn't work, just close Opera and copy the backup of the new "widgets.dat" file back into the folder.
If none of that works and it's still important to try further, try requesting help on the Opera browser forum (or possibly on the Opera Widgets forum).
Good luck!
gdveggie

It seems really weird in Portuguese. A kind of obscure sect or something...
Just "Ano Novo" (New Year) will be enough
Thanks

it is a nice one,
if it would be possible to check/uncheck the "stay always on top" option?
specially nice the fuzzy hour.
Thanks

Has anything changed in this area?
What could I be doing wrong?

And to think that a little more than two weeks ago, i wouldn't have had a clue of what to do... And now I know how to backup my events, which I couldn't do directly because of a BUG (the same that johninwitney mentionned a week ago). Would you believe that I lost all my stuff when trying to backup/copy those files?: I had forgotten/didn't think of closing Opera (and its process!...). I had to undelete the files, and luckily enough, I could find two correct prefs.dat. The path of the file, for me, is: C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Widget Time and Date 1.32\widgets and wuid... Thanks a million! mattbel78Originally posted by johninwitney:

But I had problem with earlier version of Opera with this Widget. This earlier Widget stored some 4Mb data which when prompted to open it did not
and message was" Opera.dll missing";tried again innumerable times but the same message.
However, I again setup another set which is working fine till now, since about 8 months.
Can I retrieve data in the earlier Time and Date 1.32 which are important to me?
