The UN CISG and basic contract law

In this blog I focuse on the CISG as a place where you can find crucial contract law principles. These contract law principles, including the before mentioned principles about the buyer's obligation to give notice or notification and the seller's right to remedy his/her goods or services, will apply to the contract even if the CISG itself should not formally apply.
If you are more interested in details, there are many internet resources to explore, for instance
http://www.cisg.law.pace.edu/cisg/guides.html
where the following kan be read:
2. When does the CISG come into play?
The kind of contract and where the parties have their relevant places of business determine the applicability of the CISG.
---
The CISG does not apply to contracts to provide services alone. Generally, it does not apply to sales of goods bought for personal, family or household use. For example, ordinarily, it would not apply to the sale of a camera or clothing to a foreign tourist. It does not apply to sales of ships, vessels, or aircraft or to contracts covering the sale of electricity.
In this blog, however, we are interested in the basic contract law we can find in the UN CISG. And basic contract law applies to all kinds of contracts, including services and consumer goods.
