10:10 climate campaign

I'm unofficially joining this campaign to cut 10% of my Carbon emissions, and hope that many more will take action too.
I fly alot, so this does mean that my emissions are fairly high, though have physically planted over 100 trees, to help offset this - plenty of digging was involved, but it's great to see them flourish.
My oldest surviving tree was planted when I was 11 - a Horse Chestnut.
Really getting hot on having things turned off all the time, and aiming to minimise use at peak times, as this stimulates the creation of new power stations, which takes enormous amounts of energy. Still thinking this through, I need to cut more from my usage.

Lowering temperatures is something I do, and am going to be even 'hotter' on it this winter time.
The main thing for me has been changing my driving habits, I'm now slower, accelerate more gently etc, and this is likely to save a good 10% of my fuel output and, possibly, 10% of my total count. I'd like to work it out more scientifically, but that'll wait a little longer.
I turn my fridge off, empty it first of course, when I go on holiday - even though it's top grade for energy efficiency, it still saves alot, a minimum of 20% of its usage levels per year.
