Hey, guess what!

,

New blog design! That's right! No longer aligned with my personal homepage, and inspired by a well known micro-blogging service. Humming or whatever it's called. wink

Nonetheless, feel free to post bugs that you might experience here so I can swat them.

function nice() {
  var i = "now have a sexy";
  codetag();
}

New blog design -- again. -- again.

,

Alright, I figured it was about time to change the layout again. I felt the other was too heavy. Heck, the background image alone was 1.8 MB. No, this time I've used much of the CSS from my homepage, which I am quite content with. There are few images in this layout, and everything is done through CSS, except the small “<” in the comments.

If you find bugs and problems, please do not hesitate to report them. I welcome all feedback! bigsmile

No, I don't really expect it to work in Internet Exploder, but please check it if someone has that browser. smile

Archive, albums, friends and about has not been worked upon yet, so I know that they look like scrap metal on a cold day. wink

New blog design -- again.

,

This time, I've tried to go a bit “over the top”, so please give me feedback of things that works or does not work.

To do list:
  • Fix albums, links, friends and about pages.
  • Fix browser compatibility Should be mostly compatible with Webkit browsers and that stupid fox.
  • Facepalm Internet Explorer users.
  • Fix the comment input area. It's cluttered underneath and the font's too small compared to the font size of the comments.
  • Fix the empty spacing at the bottom of the page.

In theory, it should work in any browser that doesn't come from Microsoft. And if you are using Internet Explorer: shame on thee, download Opera and see how a real browser should render a page.

Oh, and this time I have written all CSS from scratch. Please give it a spin and see what you think. smile (It's non-optimized for the time being, though...)

Wintery design!

,

It's time for my annual winter design! yes

I've taken the original winter design I had last year and enhanced it by giving it more of the recent blog design features I've had (such as the cooler comments and a changing top image depending on the time... Check it out. wink).

Please shout if you find any bug

I can haz... new design? Again?!

,

Yes, I can.

I haven't fixed the photos, links, friends or about page yet, but the blog should be working more or less as intended.

As always, please feel free to drop by comments. :-)

New design closing in on finalization...

,

Tonight I have tried to complete the blog design. Most of the functionality should now work as intended (albums/images, links, friends, about) and the header has gotten some images. Not sure if I want to keep it, tune it or totally revamp it, though.

Please give comments should you find anything that seems out of place. :-)

New layout!

,

I have made a new layout. It's darker, more slick and has more shadows. The header is a bit temporary and I will probably add stuff to it later. Most of the blog content should be looking a bit like it should, but there are several bugs:
- Albums, Links, Friends and About does not work as inteneded... at all.
- View blog entry contains a bug with the ending of the fade.
- View blog entry contains a bug with the fade at top. Apparently, the fade is too long.

If you see anything not covered by the above, please feel free to contact me here and let me know about it. :-)

Designs and such.

,

I've redesigned my blog. Somewhat twice. Depending on when you are reading this, you will be seeing three different designs. One design runs from 0400 to 1200. Another runs from 1200 to 2000. The last runs from 2000 to 0400. All in CET. Good luck spotting all. wink

Oh, and by the way - more will come. Probably, the "morning" design will be totally revamped. But not tonight.

EDIT: I've added more images with different spans
1. From 2000 to 0400
2. From 0400 to 0800
3. From 0800 to 1200
4. From 1200 to 1600
5. From 1600 to 2000

New design hoooo!

Since I used most of the structure from the previous design, it was quite easy to implement. I am not sure about the quick and hard fade from the image to white, and the colours of the menu should be changed. But otherwise... I think it's quite good to go!

Any comments? smile

Easter vacation.

, ,

Peace and quiet. Today I had the day off with nothing on the agenda. We've been watching quite some episodes of Deep Space Nine and generally had it very relaxing.

Tomorrow we'll be going to Skien with the buss that leaves at 1130. It's ETA is approximately 2.5 hours later, so we'll catch the best of the day there. We'll pick up our car in Skien too, where it has survived the winter. It will be very nice to get the car again, as it makes it easier visiting family and friends that live further away than where the buses, trams and trains of Oslo easily carries us.

I am, believe it or not, considering changing my layout again. Don't worry, I've gotten a theme that I am quite pleased with (although I might try to experiment some with the sidebar at a later point in time. Some part in me wants to have a white background of the blog to simplify reading and for general slickness. White on black looks a bit emotional in the end, so I'll probably stick to the plan and repaint the design white. The problem is: I do not have any suitable header images. As such, I'll have to speculate and, hopefully, find something that fits a white design.

The main criteria of the design header will be:
- Merry! I want to have something that I can look at and feel the urge to write in this blog. Something that fills me with memories, happy thoughts and that I feel proud of.
- Since I have used about all images I made and put up on DeviantART, I'll have to look through free stock sites to find something.
- Natural! I've quite enjoyed the past images I've used of natural evironments. Mainly due to the fact that I can dream away into the landscape and imagine things. Yeah, it sounds creepy but I took myself in doing that at work some time ago when I still had my tornado design.

Does anyone know of any good and free stock image websites, except sxc.hu? smile
