Can't decide...

,

... whether I should just jumble it all up in one post or write several shorter ones?
Oh, I think I will write several shorter posts. Since I wasn't actively blogging for two weeks, there are loads of things waiting to be published... However, I'll blog about the really interesting things later on. Yeah, hope this post won't be boring... x)

Last night went to the movies. Actually, I've been really messed up these days - unpacking, trying to study for the exams and all... And I really wanted to go to cinema and, well, give my brain some rest x) Two friends and I wanted to see Horton Hears A Who :D Yeah, we do watch cartoons and we're not afraid to admit that. P: However, it turned out that the movie was shown here till the day before yesterday. Oh-kay. Sweeney Todd was taken off the schedule as well. I wanted to see Love in the Time of Cholera, but nobody shared my interest. :irked: So, eventually, we went to see Fool's Gold. They gave me popcorn in order to keep me quiet (since I was all grumpy, not really willing to watch that movie). However, it somehow turns out that every movie I want to avoid watching, I really like (I went to see Elizabethtown, one of my fav movies (after Amelie) under some very similar circumstances). Ohkay. Lead male character was really a cliché. However, the story was a bit more complicated than I expected, but nothing was overcaricatured. And I really loved Kate Hudson. Somewhere in the middle of the movie I really started enjoying it. Dynamic an interesting enough, causing proper amounts of laugh now and then... Yeah, it suited me enough. x)

This morning, I've managed to ignore two alarm clocks and I've almost miss my philosophy test. And after doing it, ran into my ex. Oh goodie. O_o

Nice weather, by the way. And the campus was adorable. However, didn't have any company for staying there longer...

About the non blogging time...

,

Sunday. Elections day, take two. Since I haven't updated the address in my ID for several years , in order to vote, I had to travel to Smederevo. That's, like, 140 kilometers. Oh I hate that place! Everytime I go there, something bad happens. First, I've ovesrlept a couple of trains, then finally got into one, where I realized that my cellphone headphones were broken... Than, on a bus station, let's say that I noticed that the jacket I was wearing... was not the one with the money in the pocket. LoL

Howevah, got there on time. Went to see my friend Marina. We used to live in the same building, couple of years ago. They've sold the apartment and she is going to move to Belgium to study the art history. Me envies. It was nice talking to her and her mom, since we don't meet too often.

Then, the voting.

After that, went to see my mother for a couple of hours... Oh, I'm so god damn lucky I don't see her too often.

That night, met with my friends at the old spot - near the traffic light downtown, and we went to the movies. Although the tape snapped in the second minute (welcome to Smederevo, oh well), the movie wasn't bad at all. Good story, a bitter-sweet one, nicely implemented visual effects, loads of fantasy, several really emotionally strong scenes, reduced dialogues and lot of stuff told by the camera.

Here's the trailer.

Although, the trailer says almost nothing about the movie, lol.

After the movie, went to a caffe/restaurant to drink some coffee and wait for any news about the elections. Well, we celebrated, in the end x) Although it was tough.

On Monday, met with couple of friends more, than went to Belgrade, to a bank, and got back to Novi Sad. Tuesday - exam that lasted from 12pm to 2am O_o... Got a 10 (A). Then fell ill. Now, I'm here, awake and ready to blog. More and less. x)

Last Movie Seen: Frankenweenie

,

So, every time when I tend to blog more often, something happens. Like the phone-thing.
However, been to the police and now I'm trying to accept the fact I'm gonna use the old phone for a certain period of time.
Season of studying for test and exams is dawning. Oh well...
Yesterday. Weeknight. I've managed to squeeze in the movie called Frankenweenie.

Last Movie Seen: Haute Tension (again)

Well, yeah, I've got a monitor again. Smaller than my original one, but who cares - it's only important the thing works. So, I've decided to celebrate that by watching movies. The choice for tonight was Haute Tension, or High Tension, or, the international title - Switchblade Romance.

The name of Alexandre Aja is mostly related to "Hills Have Eyes", the one of the worst movies I have ever seen! However, this one is something completely different... I hate the genre of horror in general - because there are so many BAD horror movies, with the aim to terrify or even disgust you and with no background story. And I hate when things happen just for the sake of something happenning.

In Haute Tension (oh I love the sound of it P:), there is a background story. And, in the context of the other things in the movie, it's really complex. Let's say that there is not so much dialogue in the movie, however, facial expression tells you many things - and if you watch Haute Tension, I suggest you focus on that. And if you think that something in Alex's reactions doesn't seem to fit - you'd be right, because, almost till the end, you're watching Marie's side of the story.

The movie is, as the title says, loaded with tension. You may jump out of your seats although nothing happens x) It has the elements of thriller and drama, but it's also brutal - so, thriller/horror, or vice versa, is the classification that fits. I'm not gonna talk about the ugly scenes because you may say "no thanks", and my goal is to make you watch the movie, if you haven't already...

The soundtrack is interesting, and almost every song (as song, not an instrumental) is played in the very movie - if someone turns a radio or an mp3 player on. Background instrumentals are not invasive and they'll guide you well through the silent scenes.

I think that the introduction-part in the movie could've been longer. However, you can see the gradation in Marie's colliding with herself till the moment it actually explodes. Her frustration and fight against herself are the best parts of the movie.

It is Belgian production (if I'm not wrong), filmed in 2003.

Didn't want to write about the actual plot - think of this as a guide x))

"I'm fine."

, , ,

If you've seen the movie called Elizabethtown, you probably know the sentence. I'm fine. The thing that Orlando's character keeps saying - although his world is falling apart.
Well, people... I'm fine.
A friend of mine said last night: "You smile on the photos more than usual. Does it mean you're happy?" And I replied, "I'm going through a lot of mess lately... But i try to keep repeating Like we CAN work it out, remember - twist and shout!"
Yeah, I know that's not the answer.
Blah.

It's 4:07 in the morning. I'm sitting here, listening to the TV in the corner of the room and sneezing. So, what was happening since my last post?

Huh. The Radio is slowly shutting down. In a couple of weeks, the phonelines will be cut out. No money, and no one of the founders want to pay the debt.
Actually, the former manager of the station, who is to thank for the debt, called us the other day cuz he wanted to say Happy Birthday to his mother-in-law through the air. And we did everything he said. Screw him.

I went to Belgrade twice. Or three times. Whatever. I've managed to change my haircut (a good thing), to see many, many people (a good thing), to have a fight with a friend of mine (uhm, can I call her my ex-pseudo-girlfriend or that was actually not a relationship) (a good thing in a way)...

I went to see my grandpa... Huh. Not a good sight. Not good. Not good at all. Don't wanna talk about it.

I have reinstalled my Windows... However, today I found out that I had some really important stuff on the drive C... Now they're gone forever. A couple of rare movies I don't have on CDs... and the only copy of my play, performed in December of 2004... Now screaming at myself.
(The play was, frankly, quite a fiasco, but... too many memories, you know the feeling?)

The dream house turned out not to be such a dream house  Our electricity bill is... no, I'm not gonna say that... Let's say waaaaaaaaaaaay too big! And, the other night, coming back home, I somehow managed to get of a bus a stop earlier... So there was I, surrounded by darkness and only darkness, in the middle of nowhere, with just a graveyard by the road to keep me company! So I called my best friend (oh, my precious cellphone) and talked to her till I got home... It was almost 40 minutes of walking... or talking. Whatever.

So, why am I smiling? I don't really know...
Maybe it's got a point. Whatever.
Too sleepy now...

Good night, world

Late night/early morning glass of ouzo

, ,

What a day!
Moved some furniture to the new house.
Before that, had a short ride countryside. I've borrowed my camera to a friend - she needs it for a college project or something  But, however, my cellphone was there for takin pictures. Yeah, I've updated my autumn album again.
Our national television broadcast the Streets of fire tonight. I like the movie... But hey, I'm an eighties-freak, so it is like default or something

Now I have realised that I need to get up in two hours. Should I go to sleep? Or should I finish my drink first?
