Last Movie Seen: Frankenweenie

So, every time when I tend to blog more often, something happens. Like the phone-thing.
However, been to the police and now I'm trying to accept the fact I'm gonna use the old phone for a certain period of time.
Season of studying for test and exams is dawning. Oh well...
Yesterday. Weeknight. I've managed to squeeze in the movie called Frankenweenie.
Yeah, I'm in the phase of re-exploring the works of Tim Burton. I'm do admire his movies, however, I still don't get why the hell he had to do Mars Attacks? It's one of the worst and most idiotic movies ever! What the hack, other Burton's movies are just too god, so - they compensate.
What to say about Frankenweenie? Well, paraphrasing the plot is just not my style. So, once again, I'll refer to Wikipedia. Hail, Wikipedia!
Frankly, I was a little bit surprised when I saw the movie was done under Walt Disney label, but than I read that

I've never been fond of the whole Frankenstein thing... Yeah, it apparently was scary, but nowadays - it's just too unreal. So, I thought that Frankenweenie ain't gonna suit me either. But, suddenly I realized that Burton is... well, Burton x)
xD
The movie is black&white so it looks a bit retro, but the context is pretty universal. Lack of color leaves space for light-effects and lets you focus on many other things. As many other Burton's movies, Frankenweenie has loads of humor (intelligent and a bit morbid at the same time) and some subtle catches that reveal themselves to not-too-young viewers. For kids, it's an interesting story with a happy end. For adults, the movie is a witty parody in Tim Burton's manner.
Oh yeah... I'm not fond of bull terriers either... But who cares?
