Europanto

And, I have talked about it to many people I know...
This is a brief info about that.
Europanto is a constructed language, created in 1996 by Diego Marani, a translator for the European Council of Ministers in Brussels.
"Que would happen if, wenn Du open your computero, finde eine message in esta lingua? No est Englando, no est Germano, no est Espano, no est Franzo, no est keine known lingua aber Du understande! Wat happen zo! Habe your computero eine virus catched? Habe Du sudden BSE gedeveloped? No, Du esse lezendo la neue europese lingua: de Europanto! Europanto ist uno melangio van de meer importantes Europese linguas mit also eine poquito van andere europese linguas, sommige Latinus, sommige old grec. "
Well, not so hard to understand, but - scary in a way...
Europanto is based on English with many words injected from other languages. Even Latin and old Greek.
I have nothing against the idea... I just liked esperanto much more
Like, maybe we can easily understand Europanto, but hey - who is ever gonna learn to speak and - worse - to write in that language?
As you can see, every word has kept its original form - in terms of writing and pronunciation.
So, if we want to avoid memorising tones of words by heart, there are quite a lot of rules to learn...
I wouldn't complain if Europanto had its own rules of writing and its own grammar. But, remaining like this, it is just a mixture that looks like it's made without any rule and criteria...
We did some translations from Europanto on our Rudiments of Translation lessons, and I can't say that we were happy about it
Rien ne va plus mit olde mythes. After de romantische Bretagne mit gazoil polluted, after de majestuose Mont Blanc mit eine mortale tunnel perforated, todag der Blau Donau van Strauss esse mit cyanure poisoned und man better danse keine walser nearby, anders el coudde trespasse zum heaven mortale vapores inhalante.
Oh, c'mon...
What a mess...

No, I haven't. We were tearing that language to pieces, analysing and all, but not for the sake of learning it

BTW. I understand from Europanto words from English or German... less from Italian or French...
