Even though I am not a phoney in its traditional meaning, I do surf a little with my mobile once in a while.
Those once in a whiles are usually when I'm waiting for, or being on, the tram with nothing to read.

I haven't used a newer version than Opera Mini 3.1, so when the new beta came out the other day, I thought I'd download it. But first, I was taking a Mini test drive in the simulator.
Well... yeah... that went so-so

Failed to connect to the Internet

Connetction refused connect

I have downloaded it anyway, but haven't tried it out much yet.

There is a way to run it full screen on a pc. There's a thread on the Operamini forum that explains how to do it. Operamini 4 is ok but operamini3 is easier for reading stuff. I would like to see operamini3 developed further to improve it's functionality. Operamini4 will continue getting features but...

Thanks for the tip, qlue. I would consider it if I had a slow connection. I haven't tested OM 4 enough to know what the difference is between that and OM 3.1, except for the zooming and stuff...

Dannii - every phone? How many have you got?

I have Opera Mini on a Palm Pilot, but unfortunately it doesn't work very well.

I actually prefer 3 for the majority of purposes, too. It's much easier for reading, like Aadil says. It's a hell of a lot smoother than 4 and its derivatives. Even though I love 4.1 it's not as.... Clean as 3.

well I can't wait to get my laptop fixed.. Must happen this coming week..
Will try see how mini works on it then then as it should be much cheaper than ordinary internet costs so it means I'll be online much more..

I mean with the laptop not phone as I'm already fulltime here with the phone..

Probably.. Less data and so on..but I'll need to try it out to know for sure..
I've use my mobile connected to the laptop to get online.. But its costly that way but you only use what you pay for so it works excellently for me..
