rose's random rambly writings

...really!

A Barcelona parcel

,

Since the times ahead will be a bit hectic (and the fact that I might be a little bit lazy), I decided to write a short summary of my last week instead of several posts. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be any more posts on the subjects, I think I have a picture or two to show .

  • I was childishly amused at what I found in the bathroom on the hotel*.
  • I witnessed the kinky sex of a certain hamster :eyes:. It was in a cage. In public :yikes:!
  • I bought an umbrella from a man on the street.
  • I got my wallet stolen at a café .
  • The previous lead me to closer contact with the police than I have ever had before :o:.
  • I had the strongest martini ever
  • I didn't visit a single museum :left:.
  • But I saw lots of tourist-y things, including lovely modernista buildings.
  • I also lost my heart in the city, so I definitely will have to go back again

* On the bathroom wall, there was a niche with two boxes labelled "Man" and "Woman". They contained everything you'd need for a stay. I'm thinking about doing a post about that later. Oh, and there were slippers too! And bathrobes! Fancy :D.

T'is the season to be travellingMerry Christmas!

I witnessed the kinky sex of a certain hamster :eyes:. It was in a cage. In public :yikes:!

It's shocking what you can see in Barcelona. :yikes:

I had the strongest martini ever

I told you the ingredients I packed for you would be useful.:left:

I want to know more about the events that resulted from having your wallet stolen. In particular, why you put :o: at the end.
Did they :faint: because they were overcome by the awesomeness of your forehead?

rose-marie 22. December 2008, 14:34

I know... That hamster was like a car accident!
And thanks for the ingridients, Moe . Turns out that fabric adds that extra zest :D.

Well, for starters it was embarrassing having to report a stolen wallet to the police. I felt really, really stupid. (But my insurance company's policy states that a police report has to be done on the place.)
And I was very nervous. I've never had any close encounters with the police before (except for a speeding ticket) so I probably looked like a nervous criminal myself

Furie 22. December 2008, 14:35

You found Mart having public sex? That deserves an entire post, with photos..

How often were you singing the song while rambling?

Furie 22. December 2008, 14:36

So no whirlwind romances with police officers then? :left:

Spaggyj 22. December 2008, 14:45

Hamster sex, eh? . You got your wallet stolen?? Oh noes! :frown: did you get it back? And I want to know what was in the gender marked boxes :left:

rose-marie 22. December 2008, 14:49

It was awful, Mik! But I did manage to take a couple of photos... Naturally, they didn't turn out very well awww.

I didn't sing the song once, and although the police officer was kind of hot, there was no romance .

I didn't get my wallet back, Kimmie . At least I hade emptied it for everything but a credit card and my license (plus some cash and some other stuff). I noticed it very quickly, so they didn't have a chance of using it .

The contents of the boxes were different... :right:

Zaphira 22. December 2008, 14:53

I never knew Mart was that kinky. It's always the quiet ones, right?! :left:

Sorry that you had your wallet stolen. Pickpockets should be castrated and shot by dawn!

- And I am really looking forward to hearing about those bathroom items! :D

rose-marie 22. December 2008, 14:59

Pickpockets suck . But at least they didn't snatch my camera and phone from my bag .

 I might've lead you on a bit about the boxes. They weren't that special, I have just never seen it before .

Moesring 22. December 2008, 15:07

You might as well tell us. You already pwomised that you would make a post about the boxes.

gdare 22. December 2008, 15:27

I knew Mart was kinky :nods: Did he yelled at you when he saw you making photos of him and.... :eyes: .... who was the other one? Was it hamster? :left:

rose-marie 22. December 2008, 15:30

Later, Moe - I promise :D.

Darko - that's the weirdest thing of all... It was with a hamster - first. But then he moved on to a rabbit :eyes:!

Zaphira 22. December 2008, 15:41

A rabbit? :eyes:

He needs to join Sexoholics Anonymous!

gdare 22. December 2008, 15:43

:eyes:
:lol::lol::lol:

rose-marie 22. December 2008, 18:21

I forgot to say... the rabbit wouldn't have any of that. It almost turned into a fight. Ugly. :left:

Hermitess 22. December 2008, 21:01

Sounds like you had an exciting trip!
Sex, crime, beautiful city... Sounds like a movie...

Sorry your wallet was stolen! :frown:

Looking forward to hearing more about the fun parts.

Cois 22. December 2008, 21:52

All i remember is hamster sex :left: Mart went with you? :left:

jrd2498 23. December 2008, 01:39

@Cois: lol

@Rose: Sounds like an awesome vacation, did you ever get your wallet back?

Dacotah 23. December 2008, 05:09

  Welcome back Rose-Marie. Hope there will be more posts about your visit.

theoddbod 23. December 2008, 08:24

Hey! That's wasn't me! :insane:

There are other hamsters in the world, you know!: mad:

:sst: Welcome back :D

Zaphira 23. December 2008, 08:29

We'll see on the photos if it was you or not!

gdare 23. December 2008, 10:35

You must confront your hidden side, Mart

qlue 23. December 2008, 13:55

So much for the old adage, "What happens in Barcelona, stays in Barcelona.".
Is it true that the streets there are paved with gold? :left:.

rose-marie 23. December 2008, 16:26

Hermitess - Thanks :D. Those were the fun parts p:.

Cois - As far as I know, Mart wasn't in my suitcase... Carol was :left:.

José - No, I didn't get my wallet back. But I got a new credit card yesterday .

Carol - Thank you . There might come some more...

Mart ! I hope you noted that I didn't write that it was you... :sst: Mik started that rumour. Get him!

Aadil - I actually took a picture of a street there :D. Beautiful tiles, but I didn't see any gold awww.

Dacotah 23. December 2008, 16:58

You are welcome.

Stomyr 23. December 2008, 19:41

Merry Christmas!

rose-marie 23. December 2008, 19:51

Merry Christmas Stomyr .
I hope you finally get your snow!

Stomyr 23. December 2008, 20:04

No chance - but still hoping.

jrd2498 23. December 2008, 20:35

lol, Well at least they gave you a new one, you did cancel the other one right?

rose-marie 24. December 2008, 12:14

Stomyr - Hoping is good :D.

José - I cancelled it about 3 minutes after it got stolen, so that wasn't a problem :D.

qlue 24. December 2008, 14:54

I bet all the American tourists stole the gold long ago!

jrd2498 24. December 2008, 16:22

 good thing, right know the whole credit card business is really not secure any more.

rose-marie 24. December 2008, 21:17

Aadil - it could've been some lousy pickpockets too

José - Maybe not... I don't use my credit card much to be honest. I mostly have it for back-up.

Furie 25. December 2008, 00:34

I'm not grown up enough to have a credit card. Luckily I'm grown up enough to know that.

jrd2498 26. December 2008, 01:18

@Rose: Hey that is a good thing, It is always better to pay cash and not get into debt.

@Mik: :lol:

rose-marie 26. December 2008, 22:23

Over here, almost nobody haves cash anymore. People pay everything with their cards - even a latte...

Furie 26. December 2008, 22:42

It's pretty much the same here. One of the reasons the majority of people in this country are in debt. The amount of debt divided by households (including those households who have no debt at all) comes to just over £9,000 (€10,500). That's not counting unsecured loans. :yikes:.

rose-marie 26. December 2008, 22:54

Wow! I don't know what the number would be here, but I saw a TV-show about ordinary people living way over their limit (The Luxury Trap - probably called something else in the UK) and were amazed at how people can spend, spend, spend without understanding the concept of money awww

jrd2498 26. December 2008, 23:03

But still you are all no were compared to us in the U.S. Just the government by themselves owe over 10 trillion dollars right know. That is not even including the citizens.

rose-marie 26. December 2008, 23:09

Yeah... I think US and Iceland are worst off this time...

jrd2498 26. December 2008, 23:11

Yeah Plus the U.S. owes tons of money to China. I wonder were that is going to lead us to. :right:

Furie 27. December 2008, 00:37

Here, perhaps?

Dacotah 27. December 2008, 00:39

:faint:

gdare 27. December 2008, 08:35

I`ve herd a story about Ted Turner, a founder of CNN. At one point he was in debt for about 2 billion dollars. And someone asked him how can he sllep at night knowing he owe so much money to banks. He said that a trick is to make so big debt that bank starts to worry about the ways of returning it, not him Homer: Doh!
I don`t know if this is a true, just something I heard :D

rose-marie 27. December 2008, 13:21

Wulff strikes again p:.

Interesting trick, Darko :D. I don't think I'd have the guts to try it out, though...

Furie 27. December 2008, 14:25

I might. Now where can I get me one of these plastic money thingys?

Cois 27. December 2008, 18:25

I got a offer for one while gone.. :left: just like to drugs I said no

jrd2498 27. December 2008, 20:56
