Merry Christmas!

Rhymes: donePresents: almost wrapped.
I'm just putting the finishing touch to the presents before I get properly dressed and leave for this year's Christmas celebration.
It's no surprise that I'm in the midst of last minute wrapping/dressing, but I couldn't possibly leave without wishing all my friends and readers a
Very Merry Christmas!

We had to make a gift to give to someone.
We had to bring a side dish & dessert.
We played musical chairs, did the chicken dance, had a dance contest, had a costume contest, & the played the dirty Santa game.
We brought nonperishable food for a friend who is having some problems.
AND then we helped clean up the mess when it was over.
gdare # 30. December 2008, 05:48
I would like to see that, definitely
Any photos?

I don't know what it is, but it sounds funny
We played a present game. Everybody had to bring a present (or presents) for a specific (symbolic) sum.
The presents are then placed on a table, or on the floor if it's many players, and everybody gathers around.
You then have to roll the dice. Everytime there's a six, the person who rolled it can choose freely from the presents on the table.
But wait - there's more!
When the presents are all gone, it starts all over again.
The person in charge, sets a timer (to a time only he knows. Ours was somewhere between 15-20 minutes) and then it's time to roll the dice again.
Everybody who rolls a six, can now freely steal a present from anybody. You take turns until time runs out.
It's funny to see who the games engages both young and old!
Hermitess # 30. December 2008, 21:37
We put our names in a bowl & put all gifts in the floor. As each name is called that person gets to choose from the gifts on the floor or to steal a gift that has already been opened.
I don't know why the call it dirty Santa. There's nothing dirty going on. ??
rose-marie # 31. December 2008, 00:12
I think the difference is that we didn't open our presents until the game was over.
