...really!

Hotel boxes

,

Do you remember how I talked about the gender marked boxes in the hotel I stayed at in Barcelona?
Yeah... I forgot too :left:.

Anyway - here are the contents:
Woman box

* Comb
* Toothbrush
* Paper hankies
* Toothpaste
* Mint foot massage
* Lip balm
* Hairnet

Man box

* Razor
* Toothbrush
* Paper hankies
* Shaving cream
* Toohtpaste
* Moisturizing cream
* After shave balm

Soap, shampoo and body lotion were in separate bottles. The boxes were re-stocked every day - no matter if there was plenty of goo left in the packages or not :D.

I can't remember the last time I wore a hairnet (have I ever, even?), and personally, I would rather have a scrub or something than the mint foot massage...
What would you like to see in your box?

I think this post's formatting is a bit... dubious. The word "Woman box" is on the right side but the items in the box are on the left. Homer: Doh!

I think you can guess what I'd like to see in my box. P:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 08:59

The text is above the photo - just the way I intented it to :smile:.

No candy in the boxes!

Phantom2 23. January 2009, 09:16

The key to the room of cute chick I met in a the hotel bar in Barcelona once would have been nice at the time! :smile:

Darko 23. January 2009, 09:23

You've forgot to mention martini P:

Ah, it was in separate box Homer: Doh!

r♡se 23. January 2009, 09:37

:lol: Phantom! And re-stock every night, huh? :wink:

Darko - :eek: Martini-in-a-box? :faint: p:
Actually, I found that in Malmö last christmas :left:.

Kitty 23. January 2009, 09:54

Cotton buds or cotton pads would be nice in the box for girls.
I've never ever worn a hair net either, can you imagine what they are even for??? :eyes:

Kimmie 23. January 2009, 10:02

Hair net? Do they expect each woman to have a job in a kitchen? :confused: . That's what they're for, so that hair doesn't get in the customer's food. The other stuff seems pretty normal, I like the thought of a mint foot massage.
I agree with Kitty, cotton pads would've been good. Also I would've expected they'd put in Tampax or something.. Just seems like something that'd be there.

I love your new member picture by the way.

r♡se 23. January 2009, 10:04

I agree - cotton would be nice :up:.

I suppose a hairnet should keep the hair in place, but I don't think there's anything strong enough for my hair :lol:.

r♡se 23. January 2009, 10:06

Oh dear... They have beard nets too :lol:

Kitty 23. January 2009, 10:15

- And the background just rocks! :headbang:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 10:33

Thanks :happy:

:sst: That's my avatar shot with a little too much flash - no photoshopping at all :wink:.

Cois 23. January 2009, 10:44

I'd like to see some dvd's in my box :lol:

dɹɐzılpǝkɔıw ɐʞɐ ɹǝɥgɐllɐg lǝbɐsı 23. January 2009, 10:47

Some facial scrub or a skin cleanser or even a facial moisterizer.

r♡se 23. January 2009, 10:48

Kimmie! Your turn to super-squirrel! :lol:
I did try the mint massage - it was gooey. But hey - at least a reason to lay down for a bit :wink:.
I didn't think of Tampax, but that's actually a good idea :up:
(And thanks :o:)

Cois - They have TV-channels for that you know :rolleyes: p:.
Perhaps you could do with a body net :lol:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 10:49

Squirreled again :irked:

Issy - Yeah, I wondered why the men got moisturizing cream... Those small packages are hardly enough to share.

Cois 23. January 2009, 10:54

Tv smheevee.. I'll use the dvd's and they'll have to replace them and i can take the 'used' ones home.. p:

Dacotah 23. January 2009, 11:18

:D

r♡se 23. January 2009, 11:29

Cois - I didn't think of that p:.

Carol - :wink:

Santa Furie 23. January 2009, 11:44

What do I want in my box? :eek::o:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 11:51

:eyes: You have a box?

Santa Furie 23. January 2009, 12:07

On my wall. It's a hunting trophy. :left:

Dacotah 23. January 2009, 12:27

:smile:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 12:29

Eeew, Mik!

Moesring 23. January 2009, 12:46

It turns out that the pictures were blocked at university (when I made my first comment), which is why the layout didn't make sense to me. :o:

Can't you describe the foot massage better than gooey? Was it good gooey or bad gooey? awww

r♡se 23. January 2009, 12:57

Oh! Homer: Doh!
Well, I hope you like it a little better now :wink:.

What kind of gooey? Sticky and cooling. p:

Moesring 23. January 2009, 13:00

The best kind of gooey. :up:

Santa Furie 23. January 2009, 14:00

Was it grainy goo or slimy goo in your box? :left:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 15:05

None of the above - it was smooth :happy:.

Suntana 23. January 2009, 16:08

They forgot the Chainsaw and Tools in the Man's Box. p:

Hey, maybe mouthwash in both boxes?
Gas money (restocked everyday) would have been appreciated and used.

You know ... the hairnet and beard net make for a Bank Robber's attire. :insane:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 17:10

Mouthwash is a good idea. I had the strongest mouthwash ever at a hotel in Copenhagen last year. I think it killed my taste buds... or at least stunned them for a day. awww

Kitty 23. January 2009, 17:14

But it sure smelled good! :wink:

Hahahahahaha! :lol:

r♡se 23. January 2009, 18:09

Hey Stomyr :cool:

theoddbod 24. January 2009, 03:34

Shoe polishing kit...oh, and maybe a spare light bulb for when one decides to die on your first night as a guest. Usually either the bathroom light or one of the little lamps above the bed.

Cois 24. January 2009, 09:18

Condoms :lol:

r♡se 24. January 2009, 12:32

Mart - there was some kind of shoe buffer in the closet. No polish though... And funny you should mention it - one of the lights actually died the second day. Housekeeping took care of that though :up:.

Cois - I was wondering when that should be mentioned p:.

Cois 24. January 2009, 12:41

Ohh you were looking then hey :lol:

r♡se 24. January 2009, 12:46

For shoe polish... :left:

Cois 24. January 2009, 13:02

Liar p:

r♡se 24. January 2009, 13:35

*checks pants to see if they are on fire*

Hmmm... No.
p:

Cois 24. January 2009, 13:36

*looks behind Rose as he cupboard catches fire* you were saying? :sherlock:

r♡se 24. January 2009, 14:25

Cois 24. January 2009, 17:46

Cois 24. January 2009, 17:46

Burn baby buuuurrrnn!!! :insane: muhahaha hic hahahaha!! :devil: :insane:

Aadil 25. January 2009, 05:19

Your hic-cough caused you to double post. :lol:.
It would make more sense to include a shower cap than a hairnet. Although for Mik they'd have to include one in the men's box as well. p:.
Swaer, surely the condoms should be in the night stand? :confused:.
So Mik, are you sure Kimmie doesn't mind that you have a 'trophy' hanging on your wall?

ɥʇɐǝp ɟo ssǝɔuıɹd 25. January 2009, 08:35

I don't even use Hotel Toiletries. I bring my own. But I don't know why I bring them back home. I've got 2 drawers full of those stuff (unused).

But I might use the comb and cotton swabs P:

ɥʇɐǝp ɟo ssǝɔuıɹd 25. January 2009, 08:37

btw.. I don't get hairnets in the hotels.. only shower caps :up:

r♡se 25. January 2009, 15:20

I would have expected a shower cap too, but it was a hairnet. Weird.
I brought a few packs back too. They are on the bathroom shelf now, but honestly, they have lost their specialness p:.

Aadil - Ewww at that link! :insane:

Cois - Stop humping the cupboard! :irked:

Cois 25. January 2009, 15:42
