Plus one

Over here it's common to let your neighbours know when you're going to throw a party by putting up a note in the entrance. The note usually contains the usual
Earlier last week, a note was put up so the rest of us could get mentally prepared for the possible noise that would happen on Saturday night. It's my birthday/final exam/any other reason to celebrate and will have a party on Saturday at 20:00. There might be some noise - call me if it gets too loud.
But then on Friday, another note appeared:
The first note has included all the usual yada-yada, while the second one has an arrow pointing up to the first one and simply says "Me too!!!" What a great idea! If I'm having a party on the same day as somebody else, I'm just going to put up a note that says +1.

But damn! Two parties in one house... be prepared for a lot of noise!
- or be prepared to sneak in and party with them.

During the summer there are parties everywhere in the neighbourhood. People like to sit out on their balconies and forget how the sound bounces around the walls. It doesn't disturb me much - it's way worse with... other disturbing noises

It's more an info note than a warning note, so there's really no reason not to be polite. I think you earn more goodwill if you let people know you're going to have party in a nice way
Of course - things can always evolve!

You mean like the sound of nearby trolls being dealt with by your (overly?) friendly local-ish ninja cat?
I wonder what happened regarding "Matthew's non theme based fancy dress party" that you linked to.

You should put up about 100 of those 'Me Too' notes (unsigned, of course) just to see what the reaction/buzz around the building would be ...

Moe - Easy - just follow the sound(s).
That sound wouldn't disturb me all! In fact, I wish the Kat was even closer!
I don't know what happened to Matt and his party, but David kept on doing his thing.
Hey Carol! How are you doing these days?
Tamil! Always a pleasure.
Haha! I wish that was my idea, Darko!

I can't complain... But I will anyway.
* I'm sick of the grey, wet weather.
* I had an appointment with my physio yesterday, but when I got there, she had quit and they forgot to tell me.
* I can't get through to the doctor to get more allergy medicine.
* I realised I've been spending way too much time with my dentist when he saw me this morning and called my name across the street.

Yeah, that is a great idea! Wallpapering the notice board with +1 notes

Don't worry P2 - you'll get an invitation with a vibrant background of balloons, effectively stating that his party is going to be vibrant and possibly have balloons
I know - that site is a good time-waster from time to time.
Shoes?! Whoohoo!
