Ramblings!
Saturday, 14. November 2009, 12:39:47
* I finally got me a new phone. After having had my SE Z610i for well over two years, it was time to let it have its well deserved retirement. So - I got a HTC Hero and man! is it a world of difference! (Yes yes, feel free to laugh at me! I never knew how smart smartphones really were...
* I have a ton of work these days. The WOOO part is that some of it is very fun and challenging. I like that... makes it feel less stressful. The fun part involves things I've never done before which makes the challenging part. On Monday I'm going to present a bit of my labour - keep your fingers crossed!
* Coffee moccha is one of the greatest inventions of all time. I love living 50 metres from the closest coffee bar (and around 70 metres to the second closest)!
* I have Swedish dill and chive crisps! :yum:
* I got the mother of all paper cuts yesterday. It stretches over almost half my left middle finger and IT HURTS! It was actually cut by some of the documents I've prepared for the Monday presentation so now I have both sweated and bled over it. Let's hope there won't be tears! *knocks on wood*
* The weather we're having is really depressing. I'm so eletrical I keep getting shocks when I touch metal. Also, my lips feel like sandpaper again a couple of minutes after I've moistured them.
* A downside to the presentation on Monday is that I have to catch a flight early in the morning which means I have to get up über early. It has kind of ruined the weekend for me, as I keep thinking on how early I have to get up.
The last few days in other smilies...
Last but not least - a big

Sorry about your weather.
Try some http://www.drugstore.com/qxp15781_333181_sespider/blistex/lip_medex_lip_moisturizer.htm
Fingers crossed, sorry about the paper cut. Ouchie. Hugs.
What movie did you see? Did you like it? What was the free candy they gave? Was it good?
Yes, seen the Berlin anniversary.
BIG
Miss you.

I use something similar to Blistex, and although it helps for the moment, the lips quickly dry up again. It sucks!
I saw a Swedish movie called "The Girl Who Played With Fire". Kitty did a review on it a while back. It was ok
The candy was chocolate and sour pastilles :yum:

YES, Kimme! Mean work!
I use vaseline on my lips (hehe) - especially before going to bed. It makes them really soft for the next morning. But then - out in this weather, get electrecuted, frizzy hair and chappy lips. Mmm... yum!
Thanks for the tip, though. Chocolate mint sounds great
Thanks Stomyr, I hope so too
Stomyr # 14. November 2009, 19:14
Hmm - I'd trade the fog here to rain I think

Anyway, i am glad you have a new phone and that the life is good for you. Well, except for that early morning flight (can you sleep in a plane?) and paper cut
Zaphira # 14. November 2009, 19:37
Good luck - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, and I know it's going great!
My lips have been dry too, and my hands. *sighs*

Oh, normal paper cuts has nothing on this one!
I got another one at the same time, on my little finger, but I don't feel that one. The big one still hurts. I can't even do the dishes...
I know, Kitty
Thanks for the good luck

And then you could've gone on a rampage at work, biting people. Blood is great for chapped lips ...
rose-marie # 15. November 2009, 10:29
*checks face* Hmm.. no stubbles!
*checks hair* Nope, still not as long as yours.
Oh - and I have two nipples
Thansk for the app tip
Kimmie - It's nothing fancy at all. In fact - is this one:
Hey Carol
Welcome back Tamil - and thanks

I guess Newsnight would be the equivalent to the watched list here...
I'm happy to hear that, Carol. I hope it continues that way

1) I love the little green android
2) Google Maps keeps placing me in Moscow as soon as I enter the door to my apartment. Very weird, because it works fine everywhere else (or I'm the fastest woman alive)
3) I really like the search button.
4) I get notified about e-mails faster on the phone than on gmail.
5) Syncing contacts from phone to google takes forever (or overnight).
Stomyr # 18. November 2009, 12:48
Or Maybe parallel dimension?
rose-marie # 18. November 2009, 17:29
The weather widget updates me on the Moscow weather, so I don't think I should live there...

Furie # 18. November 2009, 20:20
There's a chance that Google Maps is running off your wi-fi instead of your GPS when you enter the flat and getting confused.
Fastest woman alive eh? I'll get to work on a half-latex costume for you to fight crime in.
rose-marie # 18. November 2009, 21:28
Mik - It runs on the wi-fi at home, but I've tried to disconnect everything (mobile network + wi-fi) and it still shows Moscow. It's only when it can't get a stable GPS signal in the flat, though.
Otherwise I have to say the GPS is very accurate
Oooh, half-latex, eh?
