A smile a day

,

As I was pushing my way forward through a crowded street on my way home today, I suddenly realized I had a big smile on my face. (I guess Friday has that effect on me... :D)
I noticed how some people reacted to this with a very suspicious look - as if they thought I was trying hard not to laugh at them.
Other people looked more curious - as if they wondered if perhaps I was crazy, or if I thought I knew them.

But the rest greeted me with an equally big smile, and that me very glad. Knowing that I had made another person smile, and maybe even lightened up their day a little made all the crazy looks worth it.

Hopefully, they passed on their smile to the next person they met, and that there will be lots of smiling people around town today.

Me? I think I'm going to smile to at least one person every day. At least every Friday. When the sun is shining.

Oh no! It's another HitsLink post!

That's right!
After having read several funny posts with people's HitsLink searches, I decided to take samples of mine too.

Finger lickin' good?

,

An ex-colleague of mine was sitting on the bus on her way home. Seated in the row in front of her was an elderly lady and a younger man - not connected in any other way than sharing a two-person seat.
The bus was the kind where the stop button is located in the ceiling so you'll have to stretch your arm up in order to reach it.

The man's stop was coming up and he was getting his index finger ready.
Almost as in slow-motion, he began his quest to reach the button when all of sudden, half-way there, his brain apparently shut down, leading his index finger to... the woman's ear!

I can't even imagine what the poor woman must've thought. Or what the man looked like when he realized his mistake... But it sure makes a good story!

If I should ever change my name

I was listening to the radio with one ear when something caught my attention.
I can no longer recall what program it was, or what it was about, but I do remember the name of one of the guests.

It was Rosetta Sten. Sten in Swedish means stone. Rosetta Stone.

What am I on about? Read about the Rosetta stone here.
Kudo's to Rosetta's parents!

(Made me think of a poor Eva Brun I met once (and yes, brun in Swedish means brown. Or braun in German.).)

How to slow the spread of germs

, ,

Somehow, I came across Scott Meyer's instructional website.
That's a place that'll teach you things you didn't even know you needed to know. Or be taught.

Anyway. Here's a little something dealing with my momentary nemesis - germs...

Working hard, or hardly working?

,

The shocking truth dawned upon me on, what I thought was, a normal Friday afternoon at work.

Do you think you know what your colleagues are up to? Think again!
