...really!

It's by:Larm time!

,

Once again, it's time for Scandinavia's largest music festival, by:Larm. Once again, it takes place in Oslo, and once again I've been lucky enough to receive a delegate pass (access all areas).

I went to register after work today, and received a PC-backpack (I really needed a backpack) filled with goodies:There were two books - one with the intriguing name "Norwegian album covers", which should be pretty fun to look at - and another one called "Oslo - A poor man's connoisseur guide to happy living in one of the most expensive cities in the world". I'm expecting lots of great tips from that book! :D
In addition to the books, there were a couple of CD's, loads of flyers (I hate flyers), earplugs, chewing gum and condoms. The last three are probably best used separately... :left:

I haven't gone through the program yet, but I'm hoping for three days with lots of fun and good music! And I shall do my very best to remember my camera this year. :D

:sst: I thought last year's close to 300 concerts were a lot, and now I've just heard that the number of concerts this year will be pretty close to 500! :eyes:

:headbang:

Got something to confess?Winter in the city

 I think those three things could TOTALLY be used together

Rose, how did you get all-access again? Thru work?

rose-marie 18. February 2009, 19:36

I think I'd lose the earplugs... p:
Yes, it's through work, so it won't all be fun and games.

Javaen 18. February 2009, 19:41

But still, sounds fun! and bonus! Free stuff. :D

Hear any music there that blew you away yet, this year?

rose-marie 18. February 2009, 19:44

Not yet. The kick-off just started, but I won't go tonight. Tomorrow is the official start.
The best part is that the concerts are only 30 minutes, which allows you to see a pretty wide variety of bands. Of course, you'll have to run between the arenas, but that's just part of the fun. :D

Also, 30 minutes is just enough time for a drink at each place

Spaggyj 18. February 2009, 20:01

More backstage info, again, yes? :D . I think the bags are a good idea, but is it just officials who get one, or everyone attending? Cause condoms for just officials would be a rather weird assumption

Furie 18. February 2009, 20:23

No nude photos this time please. p:

Phantom2 18. February 2009, 20:35

Throw away the eyeplugs! :headbang:

gdare 18. February 2009, 20:47

Are you singing this time?

Have a great time and make a lot of photos

rose-marie 18. February 2009, 20:47

Kimmie - All the delegates and artists get the bag. Might make for some interesting combos .

Mik - awww What would you like to see then?

P2 - Eyeplugs? I promise you I won't wear that! p:

rose-marie 18. February 2009, 20:50

Darko - The singing - definitely not! The great time - I hope so :D.

Phantom2 18. February 2009, 20:58

Homer: Doh! See what loud music does to the brain!

rose-marie 18. February 2009, 21:01

 I guess I better plug them in then. p:

Javaen 18. February 2009, 21:06

:D. Sounds so fun. I love hearing music.

Spaggyj 18. February 2009, 22:04

Hmmm... They assume you're all promiscuous. BURN :sing: Rosie's gonna bag a drummer :sing:

theoddbod 18. February 2009, 22:28

Remember, you have to see every single concert p:

Dacotah 18. February 2009, 22:39

 Have a blast. :D

Furie 18. February 2009, 23:29

Rosie's gonna bang a drummer?

Spaggyj 18. February 2009, 23:31

Jealous? p:

theoddbod 18. February 2009, 23:46

I'm sure there's a drummer for Mik too

Javaen 18. February 2009, 23:48

Doesn't Kimmie play guitar?

theoddbod 18. February 2009, 23:51

That was Ziggy p:

Hermitess 19. February 2009, 00:46

Woo! Sounds like great fun!

Zaphira 19. February 2009, 06:56

I had a drummer boyfriend once... *dreams*

Ahem... anyway... Nice goodie bag you got!

rose-marie 19. February 2009, 09:01

Jen - Me too. I don't go on many concerts anymore, so this is a welcomed opportunity :D.

Kimmie - I read that as "bang a drummer" too, and was going to say been there, done that p:.

Mart - No problem - I have my concert going clone army ready.
Who is Ziggy?

Herm - I hope so. It's about time to go through the program soon and pick out some performances :D.

Zap - Aha! *interprets dreams*
Actually, I'm quite happy with the bag itself . The contents I can do without...

Zaphira 19. February 2009, 09:30

Is it the bag I can see in the background?

rose-marie 19. February 2009, 09:38

Yes - half of it.

Spaggyj 19. February 2009, 09:53

That's what I was thinking, Mart  . Jen, nah not really, only a little.. Perhaps you're thinking that I've been playing Guitar Hero, it's nothing like playing a real guitar, though.

Rosie - then you're all dirty minded and need a caning p: .
A drummer and our Kitty... Weird imagery... :left:

rose-marie 19. February 2009, 10:01

Do you have a guitar, Kimmie?

I need a caining? A drum stick caning? :left:
I've always had a soft spot for drummers though, so I can totally understand Zap... :D

*waits for P2 to show up again*

Phantom2 19. February 2009, 10:06

Zaphira 19. February 2009, 10:12

theoddbod 19. February 2009, 11:09

Who is Ziggy? Ziggy played guitar :D

You're the last person i'd have expected not to know, rose-marie p:

Cois 19. February 2009, 12:21

:headbang:

qlue 19. February 2009, 13:47

The question, "who is Ziggy?" is considered blasphemy in some places and it's a capital offence in others. :left:

Spaggyj 19. February 2009, 14:12

Just don't tell me what he did with his stick and your drum p:

Javaen 19. February 2009, 15:19

@ Kimmie. Guitar hero. Yep that's it.

Homer: Doh!

rose-marie 20. February 2009, 09:11

Kimmie - Broke it, eh...? That's rock and/or roll! :headbang:

Zap - Nothing wrong with weird as long as it feels good

Mart - Homer: Doh! I thought it was a joke :o:. I know Ziggy, and I love him :D.

Coisy - I might have to do just that in order to keep warm. I almos froze to death yesterday. awww

Aadil - It's a legit question on my blog, but only if the person asking it is me...

Kimmie again - But... we want to know!

Jen - I really don't have a comment, but it felt weird not writing something here... p:

Dacotah 20. February 2009, 10:50

Ahem, you forgot me Rose-Marie. :D

rose-marie 20. February 2009, 11:31

 Sorry Carol! I think it was because your avatar didn't load properly, so I didn't notice your comment :frown:. I hope you can forgive me!
Thank you - and I hope I will too! :D
I didn't see many acts yesterday, due to a massive headache, but I'm planning on catching up tonight and tomorrow.

gdare 20. February 2009, 12:54

They have massive headache? Like.... mass hysteria? :eyes:

rose-marie 20. February 2009, 13:00

gdare 20. February 2009, 13:00

:D

rose-marie 20. February 2009, 13:16

Hey - do you remember what cured hysteria?
(Hint: an old post on Zap's blog?)

gdare 20. February 2009, 13:22

Sex? :left:

gdare 20. February 2009, 13:22

Homer: Doh! Now I remembered P:

rose-marie 20. February 2009, 13:22

Dacotah 20. February 2009, 13:25

I'm glad you will. Nothing to forgive.
Hope the headache is gone.

Javaen 20. February 2009, 16:34
