Goodbye little friend

Last night my budgie (undulat) died. 
He got freaked out as I was taking him out of the cage because my other bird was moving around a lot, so he flew almost immediately. He glanced a wall, turned and then flew straight into another one. He didn't hit it particularly hard (indeed he has had a number of worse looking crashes in the 7 years we had him), however he fell and must have landed awkwardly, breaking something. Straight away I could see that something was seriously wrong as he started having trouble breathing, and within 5 minutes he had died. It seems to have been a totally random accident. Prior to that he was in perfect health.
I still can't believe it has happened!

Sorry for your loss!
It´s hard loosing a pet since the relationship can be as intense as if it was a human being!
Hope you´ll find a new good friend soon!
