I will fly to Japan

Hello my friends,
I'm back and (finally) write a new posting here. smile At first I want to wish everyone a happy new year. Yeah, maybe a little bit too late. wink
I was very busy last months and there was no time for blogging. I had a lot of work and to learn. But now I really want to try to write more often. Maybe I will write more short postings here in future.

Well I think I also will have some interesting topics to blog next month, because middle of February I will fly to Japan for a week. Last week I booked my flight ticket. I also did some organizational things since beginning of January. I needed a new passport and other things. I got everything now.

I'm very excited because this will be the first time I will stay in Japan. Well it's even my first time in Asia.
I guess the flight will be a little bit hard because it needs a lot of time. bigeyes I will not fly nonstop to Japan. I will have a short stopover after ~5 hours of the flight. Well it's definitely longer compared to my other flights I had so far.
But after ~15 hours I will arrive at Kansai International Airport in Osaka. I know it will be a very fascinating and wonderful time because of special reasons. love I feel so excited and so happy. smile

See you soon.

Best wishes,
Heiko

ticks - annoying small creatures

Yesterday I was jogging in the evening. For me jogging is really good to calm down after the whole day in front of the screen.

Normally my "jogging route" is a small way to the neighbour town and back to home. The way is alongside a railroad. In the neighbour town I cross that railroad on a level-crossing and ran back.
But yesterday I decided to run on an other way. Near my home is a beautiful forest where you can see very often other joggers. up
Through the forest there is a very nice pathway with some branching paths. It's really cool there and of course not so hot like directly in the sun. The floor cover is also good to run because I usually used to run on asphalt.

Well I did one big round on the big pathway through the forest and decided to run a smaller one again. So after the big round I chose an other smaller pathway. Well the smaller pathway I chose was not a good choice I realised later. At the end of the small round the path became more and more overgrown. bigeyes
When I came back after the second round I immediately checked if I have some ticks on my cloths. Well I found two ticks there. Just three minutes later the first one crawled on my arm. It seems that small creature crawled to my arm when I had the hands on my legs. confused Really strange. But I blowed it away. The other one I found on my t-shirt. In this case I was glad I usually use long jogging trousers.
Well when I came home I checked again if I have some ticks on my body because these small creatures are often vectors of a number of diseases and the area where I live is a region at risk in this
case. I didn't found others there. Well I really don't like these small creatures. irked

I will go jogging there again, but next time I will definitely choose the normal pathway. Because there you don't have such problems in normal case.

Best wishes,
Heiko

A topic about books

Hello my friends
Recently Chu Yuho tagged me with a post about the topic "Reading books is..." He also explained it more detailed in his blog posting. smile

Well I hardly read normal books like novels, stories or similar things.
But I often use and read reference books. Mostly technical books about a topic which I need often in my life. For example specific Linux/Unix related books like shell scripting etc. but also other topics.
So reading books is... a very good source of information for me. It's a source where I can find informations detailed in only one medium. up Compared to the internet where I often have to read different sites about a specific topic I mostly need one book only.
Well of course I also prefer to read long texts in a book instead of a screen. smile

Hmmm when it's ok I would like to know Randalls opinion about that topic. smile

Best wishes,
Heiko
