About me

I'm irritable. I'm a little bit tired. I've been watching two generations of humanity waste History like a bunch of drunks shooting dice back in the men's crapper of the local bar. I've laughed so hard lately I think I gave myself tuberculosis. I stopped buying winter clothes because of global warming and now I'm freezing my ass off. I don't care about Jesus; I care about the people, places, and things he'd care about if he were here right now. I was never an amoeba. If you are too busy in Winsor Pilates and kick boxing classes to enjoy the simple pleasure of a fucking hamburger then you're already dead and no amount of spandex is going to resusitate you. So, quick! Call a PhD! I'm having a paradigm shift.

My work

In 2000 or 2001 I was able to "retire" from the wacky world of restaurants and began to focus on completing my Bachelor of Science degree. By then, my wife was pregnant with our first son, Isaiah. When he was about three months old I became a stay at home dad (from whence the "sahd" in sahdPete). After I graduated, I was actually able to get a job where I could use my degree. It was the best job I ever had-- great people, great company, perfect for a Human Development graduate. Unfortunately, the pay was crap and when my wife was able to return to work, I was at home full time. We had our second son, Elijah, and then Aidan followed 16 months ago. Now, as the guys get older and my graduate school dreams got, hmmm, shall we say derailed?I am now returning to the workplace. This is not to say that I'm not going back to grad school-- on the contrary-- going back with a vengence. Wife, kids, school, life and living it to the fullest and just keepin' it simple.
