Few weeks ago, I installed openSUSE 10.3 onto my old laptop, Celeron 433Mhz, RAM 160MB, originally running on WindowsMe :smile: That's not used by me, but my student who doesn't have her own PC.
It works comparatively fine, yes, not very fast, but almost usable conditions, with KDE 3.5. Before installing openSUSE, it used Fedora Core 3 (!), which I installed years ago. SUSE is doing a good job indeed. openSUSE has no trouble to use Japanese with beautiful fonts, fine Desktop OS.

BTW, SUSE offers delta rpm for Opera, e.g. opera-9.23_9.24-15_0.1.i586.delta.rpm is only 739KB! Someday in the future, other OS users can use those kinds of diff files to update Opera with ease.

Silverlight?

I read an article reporting Microsoft released open Beta version of Popfly, so I tried it, ... and as I expected failed.

You cannot use Opera, any version, with Popfly, even after installing Silverlight plugin on your system.
The poster announces Silverlight 1.1 will support for Windows 2000 and Opera as coming soon... (cited from MIX07 Your Product is a feature of the Web!) and I think it is not very cool.

OK. We seem to need Silverlight 1.1, for Opera. Then I went this page, and installed 1.1 alpha, which is a little old, issued on this July, hey it's October, you know, what did they do lately? :frown:
With this alpha, Opera still shows only a error message at Popfly.

Some new Opera goods

A few days ago, I noticed that there were some new Opera goods at Opera Shop.
At first I opened REST OF WORLD, hmm, not very bad, rather excellent:happy: and cloud design are, to my tastes, nice.
Then I moved to EUROPE, there I found many more attractive goods, as before.
I wonder if we, Asian, could select those, Opera might get much more from those online shops. Anyway, I recommend you to browse those goods, if you look for something Opera related :smile:
