Can Opera's Widgets survive?

Recently, returning from Widgets Live! in San Francisco, hefa, an Opera developer at Tokyo, posts a blog article, a personal one, of course, about the future of Opera's Widgets.
In reality, as he wrote, MS Gadgets would dominate the Desktop, we must admit that. He wrote several proposals, along with the picture of Chaals' presentation with mobile phone at conference, which is so wonderful.
Especially at "how do opera widgets win teh interweb?" section, people at Opera should think them, without any jokes. Yes, he never wrote a jokes, at least this time, I think. I talked to him on opera irc and met him at jp.opera, when I visited Friday Beer Time:beer: last month.

Yes this time I didn't write a joke.
I really think Opera Widgets have great potential, but they need more focus from management if they're to succeed (instead of just being left half finished). Well, we'll see what happens I guess.
Helmers: I think all Opera offices have Friday Beer. Although since the beer is so expensive in Norway, it's most rewarding for you I guess.
