Candidate box of CJK IME

, , ,

I updated my secondary web browser today. After updating it to version 3.0.2, of course I read the Change Log.
There is a known issue only for Japanese users; At the bookmark addition dialog, IME's conversion candidate box is covered underneath. It's Bug 433340.
And there is a description that they will fix it till Firefox 3.1 (Oh, good faith.)

At Wikipedia, you can see the candidate box of Japanese IME, if you have never used it. The example of its small image shows a famous HAIKU of Basho smile

IME might be difficult for the people in the West, as well as browser developers wherever they live.

BTW, the image at Wikipedia has some interesting warnings. It says "This media file has been requested for deletion." If you read the comments of it, it might be better to see the situation there.

Looks like, but quite different.

Modern browsers have zoom function, but zoom of Opera is something different, by far.

Today, I read an entry by Japanese graduate school student, which uses eminent example to show the difference. Someone who might claim there is no example of the latest Firefox 3, so I took screenshot of 50% zoomed picture with Opera 9.5 weekly and Minefield 3.0 pre.
(The each small image is 50% of its original one, with 2 modern browsers.)

Of course, Opera is left, Minefield(Firefox 3) is right.
The original image is shown at his yesterday's entry.
