The Dogwood Project

Follow growth of 30 small Dogwood cuttings to a 70m long Tree-Wall (hopefully) bigsmile

In the western part of my property I have some very beautiful bushes. By coincident I saw an article about "Dogwood multipleing by cuttings" and a photo of my bush bigeyes

My bigest Dogwood:

My property is very nicely surrounded by trees beside 60m on the south side of my field. SO the project is to grow a Dogwood per 2.5m (30 all in all) at the south side of my field!

South side of field looking west:

I have made 30 cuttings following the description and planted them in big buckets, frost-free and plenty of sun around middle of February. In beginning of Marts the first sign of live showed.
This winter I lost both my parents so I choose to believe they live on in my growing Dogwood cuttings. I have selected one for each of them and named them Olaf and Lisa smile

I will take a photo often so we can see how they are coming!

Project Milestones
  • Harvest Dogwood Cuttings winter 2010/2011 => Done
  • Plant Cuttings in Greenhouse => Done
  • Cut plants down to 50cm to make them grow as bushes => Done 29.07.11
  • Fall 2011, re-plant grown cuttings in to garden => Done 27.10.11
  • Follow Growth until full bush around end of 2014 => Not Done

Thomas Oneclicksamoht1 Sunday, February 12, 2012 3:36:18 PM

Good Morning Paul. I hope you will have a blessed Sunday. Toilet seat has been up today left bigsmile

Paul Pablopaulpablo Sunday, February 12, 2012 9:25:03 PM

Haha! Right my friend! My toilet seat has been up too. Yes we are having good day. Church message was about 1 Thessalonians chapter 3 in the Christian Bible. How God wants us to live. Well what do you think about all the crazy stuff happening in the world?

Thomas Oneclicksamoht1 Monday, February 13, 2012 2:14:43 PM

Hi Friend. Big subject, my opinion in short. I experience people in my part of the world being greedy and not caring for others and coming generations. I hope love to the coming generations will grow so people start caring for earth. Sustainability should be the most important thing! Paul I am not a holy person as you, I am a growing philosopher. Liberating my mind to see things clear is my aim.

What do you think of the situation in the world?

Best Thomas

Paul Pablopaulpablo Monday, February 13, 2012 8:26:31 PM

Well, Thomas, you know that we have to teach children to share with other children because they (for the most part) are selfish. Adults too. So we need somewhere to get the information how to share and treat others fairly. In my book, the Bible, Jesus Christ (teacher, prophet, rabbi, God) said: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Thomas, Do you agree that one teaching by itself will work all over the world for all races and religions?
