Norway's national day!

Hi bigsmile

Today I am going to write about what we are going celebrate, why we celebrate that day and what 17th may means to me.

The day is celebrated because Norway got its own constitution 17th May 1814. The day is also called constitution Day. Some years after Norway got the constitution, the day did not got celebrated in every city like today. In 1824, ten years after 1814 the people walked in a parade.

When we celebrate it, people walks in parades with the Norwigian flags in their hands and sings songs. The girls go in dresses or the national costume and boys in suit or the national costume for boys. Often people go home and eats with their family after the parade and eats alot of icecream.

I think that 17th May is a beutfull day, you can celebrate with friends and family. You get to show everybdy how much you love Norway, and how glad you are that Norway is an independed country.

It is many different parades, the children parade, the people parade, the russ parade and morning parade. In the people parade everyone who goes on a sport like football, handball, jujutsu and so on goes in a parade, whit the clothes thay use when they train.

This is what we usaly use.

This is a film about how we celebrate the 17th May.

I hope you learned alot! and if you live in Norway I hope u enjoy your time tomorrow.
