Sanford Spinners Baseball Club Concept

, , ,

The basic concept for the Spinners ball club.

The Sanford Spinners Baseball Club is going to be a new concept in Sanford. We are looking for about 20-25 young men, ages 13-15 who are interested in getting together to play ball. The goal is to have 18 players at each Saturday morning practice/pick-up game. We are not going to affiliate with any organization (Parks and Rec, AAU, Little League, Cal Ripkin). There will be minimal coaching. They will give tips after warm ups and prior to the start of the game or at the request of a player. Occasionally we will have guest coaches who are experts at a particular skill.

The main purpose of this is to let the boys get on the field and enjoy the game of baseball. Potentially, down the road, we may want to get involved with a tounament or two but the kids and parents will decide together.

Registration fee is yet to be determined but will be minimal. The boys will need to bring $2.00 to the field each time we get together. This will cover the fee to use the field and will let us get a couple of new balls each practice/pick-up game. We are currently speaking with the Athletic Director at Lee Christian to see if we can use that field on Saturday mornings.

If interested, please contact Karl Scott at 919.777.9515 or via email at: karls.ttg@gmail.com
